  Re: Bulk Pricing (Interesting comparison?)

(...) No, actually it's about the elements for me too. I never even wanted any space stuff until I conceived of Castle Blacktron some months back. So, it's absolutely about the bricks, but price remains important too. The only reason I care about (...) (24 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

(...) Well, I'll tell you what. What we are talking about here are apple and orange AFOLs. You are the type of AFOL who likes to build and collect *sets*. You pine for the old days when sets "were still good". Me? I am the exact opposite. I look (...) (24 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

(...) I'd gladly pay a premium price for an unopened older castle set (6071, 6067, 6074, 6086 come to mind) before I pay full or even 70-80% of full retail for the junk they have on the shelves now. I bought my last new sets at 67% off and I barely (...) (24 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  shop.lego.com woes

Ok, what is up with the S@H site? I can't get past the gateway.asp page at all anymore on any of my browsers sans Netscape 6 and many of us know what a burden on our system that beast is.   Re: Bulk Pricing (Interesting comparison?)

(...) Just to say it, that is the approximate price I have paid during the last year for both MISB copies of that set. If it used to go for $200, well I guess the price has dropped. Frankly, I wouldn't pay a lot more than I have on these sets. You (...) (24 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Is there a "Bottleneck in Billund"?

Is there a bottleneck in Billund? No I don't mean problems in bulks sales, what I mean is "rare colors". I recently talked to someone (unnamed) who was visiting LEGOLAND in Billund, and got to meet with some folks at the company. I was informed that (...)
