I have been wondering whether they are going to make robed minifigures like
harry and friends at school or Dumbledore. With some I can see them getting
away with a cape but otherwise it seems hard to avoid. And would they do it
like the castle matrons? An ugly solution in my opinion.
I can see lego making a broomstick with a pinched middle allowing a
minifigure to straddle it and a robe would ruin this.
Any ideas on how they could do it?

| (...) I was thinking of this earlier, and thought of something which might work. It seems like Lego could make a robe out of the 'cape/sail cloth' the same way Kenner made capes for Obi-Wan, the Sandpeople, Darth Vader, etc. out of vinyl back in the (...) | I hate top say it but i figfure they are going to take the easy way out. The robed figures will have dress bottom like on the midevil witches, with black capes just as we've seen on the star wars and castle sets. The Broomstick will no doubt be the (...) | I don't think they'll bother with the bottom half of the robes. The mini-figs will just have normal legs, maybe with a cloak. Look at how the Imperial Guards were portrayed in #7166: (URL) that outfit didn't qualify for a new robe portrayal what (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

You can make minifigs look great on a broom, just make them look like they're running, with one hand back and one forward (holding onto the broom), and (...) | I just hope they use minifigs. With all the new larger figures coming out now, I am really hoping they don't use them just to help reach a younger audience. Bryan Beckwith "jonathan Lill" <jonathanl@myriadweb.com> wrote in message (...) (24 years ago, 7-Apr-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

| (...) I think it will be nearly identical to the method used to do Star Wars mini-figures. Most of the Jedi had robes, and LEGO examples used the cape/hood/printed torso and leg design. I doubt it will be much of a problem or that they would do (...) (24 years ago, 8-Apr-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)
