Re: Bulk Sales Proposal - Please Read —Scott Edward Sanburn
Well, how many people would like to see a SW parts store? I have the capital(SP?), and if there enough people willing to buy the parts (I might go straight sale over auction), I would consider doing it. I am pretty good at sorting, after all. Scott (...)      (...) I'd be up for fairly large quanties of several parts in the SW sets at the right price. Tiles and macaroni bricks for sure. My willing-to-pay price might be lower than some (I'm sure of it) but for popular parts like that it wouldn't matter. (25 years ago, 28-Oct-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Bulk Sales Proposal - Please Read —Scott Edward Sanburn
I was thinking of getting a few sets of each SW (Maybe 4) (On clearance) and then parting them out for it. The part costs would not be that high. I would put in a straight percentage of profit, and the cost of the set. Hmmm... Scott S. (...) Scott (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

SW Part Straight Sale - WAS: (Bulk Sales Proposal - Please Read) —Scott Edward Sanburn
Base on the responses I have received, I think I am going to buy a few sets at first, and see how it goes. If successful enough, I will continue to do so and start expanding into other sets. I will have to figure out a decent way of better doing (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

I think that you will find that having one set price for all of the pieces in a set will not work very well. Some pieces will not sell, and you'll lose money on some pieces that would have sold for more. For example: Mini-figs mostly went for (...)       I recently did this, purchasing the sets at AMES when they had their buy one, get one half price sale. It went quite well. I am planning on doing it again the next time there is a sale ;) Also, discussion had leaned towards buying a larger ammount (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

(...) Hrmmm, maybe you aren't as cheap as me. 7151 is $29.99 retail, right? So Target, Kohl's, K-Mart, whatever running them at 20% off comes out to $23.99.
