  Re: New SW contest proposal

David, I don't want to disappoint you but this is allready being done by Pat Justison: (URL) think it is a great idea though but I don't think we could support 2 contests at once. Eric, Remove ".jawaspam" when replying. (...) (25 years ago, 28-Jul-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New SW contest proposal

Please read the post before just blindly responding. This contest is very different than Pat Justison's. And, it doesn't necessarily need to start right now. Besides which, I see no reason why two contests can't be run at the same time. -David (...) (25 years ago, 29-Jul-99, to lugnet.general)

David, I am sorry if you thought I was not showing the proper respect to your idea for a contest but I did not know if you knew another contest was in progress or not.   Re: New SW contest proposal

I don't quite understand what you mean by a cool logo? How does a logo constitute a prize? Why would anyone prefer a logo over at least $75.00 cash that they could spend on lego? And do you really think a $5.00 entry fee is too much to expect? I'm (...) (25 years ago, 29-Jul-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: New SW contest proposal

Would it cost the same to get $5.00 in american currency? For such a small amount, it would not be such a big deal to send cash in the mail. -Dave Jr. (25 years ago, 29-Jul-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: New SW contest proposal

Well, how would this sound. The contest would be open to both "official entries" and "unofficial entries". Those who choose to pay the entry fee would be eligible for the cash prize, and those who just want to enter for the "prestige" would not be. (...) not that I'd join in on this, right now I don't have the time to build much and I'm already running short on the halloween contest... though I have a couple things to say: 1. I'm not a frequent poster, and have only come out of my "Dark Ages" recently. I am however an avid AFOL (check out my site), and I have made some posts to these News groups.
