Wow. I got my first 4755 at the BOGO50 TRU sale today, and it's worse than I
thought.
I could MAYBE excuse having 3 different shades spanning specific pieces. i.e.,
all 1x2s are one shade, all 1x4s another, etc.
But no, I stacked the 1x2s, and got 3 shades. I stacked the train windows, and
got 2 shades. I stacked other similar pieces, and got 2-3 shades.
Jake, can you beat someone over the head in the plant and get them back to the
quality they USED to produce? This bus looks {awful} in anything but rotten
lighting conditions (maybe it's only supposed to be displayed at night like the
"real" Knight's Bus?)! So much for buying at least 20-50 copies (and getting
rid of the new bley/poop colors asap).
How can they even begin to excuse such awful color control over a single set
run?
At least the 4695 Knight Bus I've built so far is pretty close to a single
shade. But I guess I'd better open the others to see if they suffer from
Megabloks-like color QC.
Are we ever going to have recourse for this? Am I going to be able to call
Cons Aff and get them to send me MATCHED purple for each 4755 I purchase? Or
am I going to have to drop one of the EXTREMELY few post-apocalyptic (i.e.
post-2003 Proper Grey/Brown) sets off my future purchase list?
I bought 2, it looks like that may be all I ever buy of this set. The first I
opened had all parts, but included a second pair of tan Harry legs? Strange
extra piece.

| Dear LEGO What has happened to your quality control? I brought a couple of the Knight Bus sets and ( as well as having a few missing pieces in both boxes) the colour of the new bricks are all over the place. There are at least 3 different, distinct (...) (21 years ago, 29-Feb-04, to lugnet.dear-lego) !!
