When you buy a Cadillac do you expect the quality of a Pontiac?

Sorry, bad example...I wouldnt know the difference in car quality if it came up
and shouted in my face. :) But I get your point, and I think I agree. Perhaps I
was too fast to lump this thread in with all the other color stuff.
|
We should definitely all take time to tell them when theyve done a good job.
I think theres been a tremendous improvement in some areas in the last 5 or
6 years. But to backslide and have something like a quality control issue
pop up now is not a good thing. We need to alert them and constructively
criticize when things like this happen. It just isnt good business for a
company who is capable of better.
|
This is true. In hindsight I agree with you - this is not a colour issue, but a
Quality issue. I was aiming my original post at a somewhat different area, I
guess, and apparently missed. :)
|
Whats your favorite color? Would you feel the same if this bus was issued
in your favorite color... with the same problem? :)
|
Maybe the issue would strike closer to home, but I dont think Id have a real
problem with it - because I tend to build a lot of mixed-colour stuff to begin
with (and I dont build the box model and let it sit on my shelf forever!).
Green, by the way. ;)

No... please stay. Please give rational calm input. Theres nothing wrong
with us discussing this. I think part of what *might* have gotten some
people upset in the last few weeks is how some of the color commentary was
being delivered.
|
Maybe the delivery was part of it (though I never did read all the grey colour
stuff, so I dont know about all of it), perhaps volume played a part. By now
LEGO knows that anything that changes colour we dont like.
|
If this is a forum used by adult fans of LEGO then lets
act like that and discuss things in an adult manner. No harm there at all.
|
Well, I cant exactly speak for the used by part there myself ;), but I echo
the second 100%. Unfortunately I think I missed that mark by opening my mouth at
all this time. I should have given it more thought.
So, lets try again...
Good night, that is not good. I would be very interested in finding out
just exactly what causes deviations like this. I hope it's safe to assume
purple isn't changing color too. :)
Better? ;)
