When you buy a Cadillac do you expect the quality of a Pontiac?

Sorry, bad example...I wouldn’t know the difference in car quality if it came
up and shouted in my face. :)
|
Then I’ll change the wording a bit. :)
IF I could afford a Cadillac, I would not expect the quality typically found
in a Pontiac.
Now you’re off the hook for knowing the difference. ;)
LEGO pieces are the Cadillac... I see no reason not to expect consistent
quality.
|
But I get your point, and I think I agree.
Perhaps I was too fast to lump this thread in with all the other color stuff.
|
As I said, you didn’t go balistic... I don’t see any harm done.
|
|
What’s your favorite color? Would you feel the same if this bus was issued
in your favorite color... with the same problem? :)
|
Maybe the issue would strike closer to home, but I don’t think I’d have a
real problem with it - because I tend to build a lot of mixed-colour stuff to
begin with (and I don’t build the box model and let it sit on my shelf
forever!).
|
If I had to put my own building in context I would suggest that I *tend* towards
monochromatic or bichromatic models. Not always, but perhaps for the majority.
If my beloved red suddenly starts showing up in multiple hues I will not be
pleased. :(
Pleased to meet you. Mr. Red here. ;)
|
By now LEGO knows that anything that changes colour we don’t like.
|
I think they also know that LEGO is a serious hobby for many folks. Not that
there’s anything wrong with that. I’d rather know someone who was serious about
LEGO than someone with a serious drug habit.

|
If this is a forum used by ‘adult’ fans of LEGO then let’s
act like that and discuss things in an adult manner. No harm there at all.
|
Well, I can’t exactly speak for the ‘used by’ part there myself ;)
|
‘Adult’ perhaps as a frame of mind? Not necessarily the age on your LEGO club
membership? ;)
No worries. :)
All the best,
Allan B.
