No way!!! whoah... I can't remember *ever* missing pieces, even when we did
AucZILLA auctions and I handled millions. Maybe there was a time or two, but not
that I recall. That record has (had?) always impressed me enormously.

This is appalling! It looks like one of those models from a garage sale, where
it's half LEGO and half MBs. Any teeth marks?
I'm speechless...
I had planned to pick up one of those sets, but now I'm afraid to.
..back when they changed light pink, I never got two pinks in one set. They had
made a clean break with the start of a new year.
I can only imagine that this has something to do with the newer production
facilities - that perhaps matching during a changeover is more difficult. I
always thought the "Color Police" in Denmark were killer! I mean like, serious
to the point of being frightening.
gasp. Wait a minute.. What if TLC is so broke that they're parting out LEGOLAND!
Then those faded ones might actually be collector's items!

| (...) I've had a few, but most of them have been in the very early US availability of the sets. I bought one of the first two UCS X-Wings in town, and it was missing a 1x1 round plate (I ended up substituting with the included spare piece in the (...) (21 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general)
