  Re: A Change

(...) Hi, I'm using the ISO-8859-1 (Latin 1) superset; and I bet that every newsreader written or updated in the last five years can handle that too. But usually only Windows machines can handle the additional characters in Codepage 1252. I don’t do (...) (22 years ago, 8-May-03, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.general)

Time for me to play devil's advocate... (...) At the risk of sounding elitist, I point out that the "citizens" of Lugnet are arguably the paying members.   Re: What's so Adult about it Anyway ? (was: Quantifying and Classifying the LEGO Community

(...) Libraries are certainly a pretty safe way to hold meetings open to minors. At a library, you have the advantage that they hold most of the responsibility for any unaccompanied minors. A pizza parlor would be somewhat riskier, but still, the (...) (22 years ago, 8-May-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.people, lugnet.fun.community)

Re: What's so Adult about it Anyway ? (was: Quantifying and Classifying the LEGO Community

(...) Any organization that allows both adults and minors to participate in the same capacity has to be _very_ careful about this sort of thing. It's not enough to simply know that nothing's going on. You need to make sure that noone has any reason (...) (22 years ago, 8-May-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.people, lugnet.fun.community)

(...) I think it depends on what kinds of activities the club participates in. I understand that some clubs have meetings in the private homes of their members.   Is it Finals time?

Just curious if it is final exam time for people who are in school. I have noticed that things have been a bit quiet here this week. This seems to happen every so often and around the time that many Lugnet members are busy with the end of a school (...) (22 years ago, 7-May-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Best Lego Year of all time?

(...) My vote goes for 1991 or 1992: (URL) Team was great that year. I think I've started a fixation for Model Team sets... Technic wise '97 was a good year with large and cool models like 8479, 8480 and the 8880. My vote for "best year since I gave (...) (22 years ago, 7-May-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Lego shop in Köln, Lego shop in Billund

The exchange rate is app 6.6 DKK = 1 USD, so it is more like 6 USD / 100g It used to be ~7 DKK = 1 USD, which would be even better...   Re: When did "extra's" start?

(...) Well, I think you have found the reason here; 6952 uses 2 1x1 trans-yellow round plates, and they are there as a pair as you described.   Re: When did "extra's" start?

I remember that there used to always be extras of the 1X1 round plates; especially when the set used an odd number of them. Way back in The Day, the 1X1 round plates came in pairs on a sprue, so a set always had an even number of them. For (...) (22 years ago, 6-May-03, to lugnet.general)
