Re: Some Weird Action Team turns 4 years old! —Nick Crocco
(...) About my last post... Yeah, I didn't really think it through and I was having a bad day. After I saw that nobody posted, I was a little peeved and wrote what I wrote. However, your comment isn't appreciated by anyone and did no good (...) (22 years ago, 15-Apr-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Some Weird Action Team turns 4 years old! —Thomas Stangl
It's nothing personal. It's not even all pointed at you. Search the Lugnet archives, you'll see that someone comes along every few months, posts about their new site/model/pics, then yells, screams, or cries at everyone if they don't get their 15 (...)       (...) Some people just don't get it. The major disappointments in life are having to deal with people like Thomas over and over and over and OVER I'd rather just ignore people like this and get on with living. My previous statement goes for this one (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Some Weird Action Team turns 4 years old! —Thomas Stangl
Well, I'd say your reply pretty much proves my point. Unless you're on medication, you must be depressed/angry a lot, as you can't seem to handle the slightest bit of criticism or controversy. I stand by my initial statement (though it was a bit of (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Some Weird Action Team turns 4 years old! —John P. Henderson
(...) I am all for "keeping it real" in the sense that I don't care much for 'sugar coating' things, and I can get annoyed if I feel someone is always 'sugar coating' what they share with me (this happens a lot where I work actually). But at the (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

(...) I make my website for me. If folks don't like it, well, they don't have to surf to it. I also post here in LUGNET--again, in a newsgroup such as this, why get your knickers in a knot over what other folks say? Praise is nice but unnecessary. (...)        (...) Thank you. The above states my position pretty well, except I would add ", nor REQUIRED" to the last sentence. (...) Yes and no. Sometimes a negative post will get someone to think about what will happen in a similar situation in the future. (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

(...) Oh no, I don't consider it a constant pain in the way you are probably thinking. I think the Meaning of Life is to enjoy yourself as much as possible without hurting others (unless they like it <g>). But Daily Life IS constant pain. I'm not (...)          Re: Some Weird Action Team turns 4 years old! —Mark Papenfuss
(...) Well, I think that is a major part of people posting their MOCs and sites here - they want to hear a kind word or two directed towards them. What is wrong with that? I like Nick's site - it was one of the first sites I linked to when I opened (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.general)

Note the FUT, I don't think this belongs in .general anymore... (...) There's nothing wrong with wanting replies. But if you EXPECT them, and complain if you don't get them, the problem is not everyone else, the problem is you. If you need (...)       (...) [snip] (...) Maybe, but the reply you came back with was just rude. You can say you are just living in the real world or whatever - but even with that it is just rude.       (...) I said before, my previous statement that started this mess was one made out of impulse at the end of a bad day and did not really reflect the way I feel.          Re: Some Weird Action Team turns 4 years old! —Frank Filz
(...) This whole issue leaves me unsure of where I stand. On the one hand, I think people should be nice. On the other hand, a few people do seem to constantly be whining that no one posts responses to their posts, or that so and so is being mean (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Some Weird Action Team turns 4 years old! —Bruce Schlickbernd
(...) I can only suggest to you what I do: ignore Tom's postings. He has a compulsion to flame people. He did it way back on RTL, and he continues to do it here, though he usually restrains himself outside of off-topic debate, so I don't make an (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.general)
