Does anyone know if the 8x16 baseplate was ever made in light gray or black?
Also, what (if any) is the general feeling about cutting baseplates for
custom sizes? Normally I am against altering parts, but I am seriously
considering cutting a 8x19 piece out of an old 50x50 light gray baseplate. I
guess I am uneasy about making the cut and I'm looking for a little moral
support.

| (...) 8x16 has been made in light gray. Don't cut a 50x50 plate though, get a more recent one (48x48) and cut from that. The 50x50's are rare now. James (24 years ago, 3-Apr-01, to lugnet.general)

| (...) IIRC, I read an assertion somewhere on LUGNET that 16x16, 16x32 and maybe other size baseplates are actually manufactured by TLC by cutting up 32x32 baseplates. So you'll only be replicating what may happen anyway. Chris (24 years ago, 3-Apr-01, to lugnet.general)

| (...) I have a couple of small grey baseplates that I think might be 8x16. I'll try to remember to check when I get home. Don't cut up the 50x50! I'll trade you the 50x50 for the two small baseplates if you want. --Bill. (24 years ago, 4-Apr-01, to lugnet.general)
