Yea, I've made that assertion before. If you look at any baseplate which
is smaller than 32x32, you will usually find that the edges have two
appearances. One is the same appearance as that of a 32x32 baseplate.
The others have white streaks, which look amazingly like the type of
stress damage that is done when plastic us cut. The only reasonable
explanation is that the bases have been cut at the factory. Another hint
is that the corners look different. It also makes sense, it's very cheap
to cut things like this, presumably cheaper than having a different
mold.
