Don't do it. Floppies that is.
Depending on how much money you have to spend on a camera:
$100 -- you'll get a webcam, or a used Kodak from 1997 with grainy 320x240
pictures.
$200 -- Better webcams like the irez.com types with 640x480 but tethered
$300 -- Shop around for a closeout model like the Olympus 460, a 1999 entry-
level model with excellent image quality and a few drawbacks like a serial port
(slow). Or you can get the new HP digital camera with TI guts.
$450 -- You have a LOT of choices. Spend $20 on some computer magazines with
camera reviews. Or get the excellent Olympus 490 (hint hint).
$800 -- You can afford 3 megapixel cameras. I bought the Olympus 3000.
$1000 -- Decide between the Nikon Coolpix 990 or Olympus 3030Z. There are
numerous runners-up from Fuji, Canon, and Sony.
No money -- wait a year, and all the above will get 1 category cheaper.
