New sets for 2001... finally (Pictures) —Eric Lanteigne
(...) found: (...) I do not have a scanner but I tried to get the best pictures I could using Vision Command for Mindstorms.       (...) <sniiiii-iiiip> (...) in a pack with the TIE, or is that just the pic? The AT-ST looks about as bad as I expected. The Bionicals look to be TLC answering the call for mecha, with the recent popularity of Gundam Wing (though these aren't that (...) (24 years ago, 22-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: New sets for 2001... finally (Pictures) —Steve Burge
Hmmm.... I think the ATST looks OK actually (Not brilliant, just OK). The head looks great, but the legs look a tad iffy... But then again, there's a lot of Star Wars sets that I've looked at the picture on the box and gone 'That's Poo!', but once (...) (24 years ago, 23-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: New sets for 2001... finally (Pictures) —Eric Joslin
(...) I agree. I guess I'm not too disappointed because we knew the price point... I *knew* the legs would be 1x's with click hinges (which seem to be the model designer's new obsession). The head, meanwhile, looks MUCH better than I expected. My (...) (24 years ago, 23-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: New sets for 2001... finally (Pictures) —Adam Murtha
Thanks for the pic Eric. Some of the new Star Wars looks nice. The Tie looks good, but can't tell about the pilot or stormtrooper really without a better pic. The shuttle is larger than I thought it would be, and it has two red imperial guards, that (...) (24 years ago, 22-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

Whoo Hoo! Yes! Need. More. Throwbots. Steve Jackson, are you listening: We need GURPS BIONICLE! LegoHAMMER 2K! A Space Hulk ZNAP theme bucket.          Re: New sets for 2001... finally (Pictures) —Andy Verner
(...) I built a helicopter out of parts from Amazon, Electro, Jet, and a few assorted pins and axles.           Re: New sets for 2001... finally (Pictures) —Andy Verner
(...) Hmm... I 'll see if I can manage some of those. I once got sort of a "bird" mode by slightly modifying Jet's carrying-case mode, and I've built Super Jet by adding parts from Granite, but the helicopter's the only really original thing I've (...)           Re: New sets for 2001... finally (Pictures) —Bradley Dale
(...) Well, I do consider Throwbots to be the abstract art of the LEGO world. It is fun. I'm sure not everyone sees my creations the way I do, although they do look like mechanized animals of some sort. (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

TIEs have always been dark blue in the films —David Simmons
