Hello, Today, with nothing better to do, I copied all my set purchases from a chart of graph paper into Microsoft Pocket Excell on my HP 32O LX (WindowsCE). I did a quick column sum for parts number and cost and came up with the following: Total (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

I have in excess of 1700 sets totaling over 250,000 pieces. All of my lego are in storage at the moment as I will be moving to Saratoga New York some time around April. The new House (currently under construction) will have a 1300 + square foot (...) (25 years ago, 3-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

My (and my 6yr old son's) set list is rather small but the parts count is not to shabby. 96 sets (between both of us) 24,400 pieces (over half are my Technic parts) and $1,945.75 (approx since some were gifts and others I can get a price on since (...) (25 years ago, 3-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

That's about the point I've hit too - I need to Ebay off a few more 5571s, some 4565s, 8480s, and some other train sets, then it's time to sit down and sort several 14gal tubs into Keep and Ebay, and get rid of a lot of bricks I don't want. (...) (25 years ago, 3-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

George, you sure do have a lot of Lego. I have never known anyone to have over 1700 sets but I am sure that there are others with just as many. I have over 700 myself and my oldest are from 1975. If I had any rich relatives I am sure that as a child (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

OK OK OK, you twisted my arm..... That would be about 2900 sets and approximately 500,000 pieces. Windows and doors - about 6000, of which 4000 are from the classic era (from before 1978). I never took a complete inventory, but I did do some (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

Thanks Kevin, If it is any consolation: Besides the 840 classic LEGO windows I got from an accumulation of London Bus sets in Michigan in 1985, 90% of all my classic windows (& doors) were found in Germany (between 1979-93). So if anyone should be (...) (25 years ago, 6-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)
