Another problem with the cookie solution is that some people don't accept
cookies.

Todd, will you allow people to vote for more than one site in the future?
I sometimes do, but I've never tryed to stuff the ballot. (If you will,
then the cookie solution is shot down again (sorry, Dan))

| (...) I think people should be able to give fractional votes: You get 1.0 "voting points" to spread out however you want among the sites. You might give 30% to one and 70% to another, for example. --Todd (25 years ago, 20-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

| (...) The voting facility is a suggestion facility. 9 times out of 10, what gets the most votes is what gets used as that week's pick. Sometimes there are exceptions, like when Bram's LDraw & LEdit tutorial went up as the weekly pick last year (...) (25 years ago, 19-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)
