No, I liked Erik's contest so much I am going to hold a similar on next
year.
I am in the planning phases of a Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Horror Design contest for
next year. I am going to formally announce the contest at the end of April
and accept submissions until Oct 1. On Halloween I will announce the
winners. Right now I am trying to decide how to run it, what the categories
will be, what the prizes are, etc. At the moment I am leaning towards
judging the contest myself, because I don't have the infrastructural
resources to set up voting easily and because I prefer that type of contest.
I believe Erik Wilson is going to run another Ancient Design Contest next
year around the same time. Part of the reason I am going to kick it off so
early is so that people have plenty of time to build models for both
contests if they are so inclined. I hope many people enter and we all get
to see some awesome designs!
