  Re: AFOLs - The comic!

(...) Exactly. And they're not so expensive that a parent might not want the kids 'wasting' their money on something small like that. It's a nice compromise between price and value. (...)   Re: AFOLs - The comic!

Loved the comic, the expressions and everything are so real. My only comment is that there are no female lego collectors in the comic. The females are either working or being very supportive of their lego enthusiast boyfriend. Maybe the pirate (...) (22 years ago, 25-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.org, FTX)

  Re: Too much Lego?

Initially, I was allotting a maximum of $60 a month. Later, I just decided on a general "entertainment" amount and figured from there. Then I kinda threw out the whole monthly thing once I got to a certain point since I either buy specific parts at (...) (22 years ago, 25-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Too much Lego?

(...) I spend £200/month, that's about $320/month or $3840/year. This is mostly on new Lego. I divided my purchasing into three: 1. Urgent Needs. 2. General Needs. 3. Nice to Haves. Urgent needs get bought at any price RRP or below. If I'm that keen (...) (22 years ago, 25-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: most wanted parts that dont exist?

(...) The parts below are Technic parts that I have already made. How I wish TLC would make them in bulk. They make large chunky parts but these small parts would be much more useful. I've been a bit cheeky 'cos it's become 5 families of parts! 1. (...) (22 years ago, 25-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Too much Lego?

According to my Lugnet setlist I have close to 60,000 bricks. Which, by Swedish standards, is a lot. This has been acquierd in the last four years. I already had a decent collection as a kid and have bought some larger lots used. But if I find (...) (22 years ago, 25-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Too much Lego?

(...) The number heavyly depends on certain factors. One is the size and type of model. Some people build small houses, or accessories, and some build large installations ans scenarios.   Re: Are new colors in old sets yet?

(...) Some of the new 2004 sets were released in December of 2003 (Mos Eisley Cantina, for example), and they did have the new grays and brown. Even though these new sets were released in the very end of 2003, they're still considered to be 2004 (...) (22 years ago, 25-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

X-Pod Play Off game included in LEGO magazine

I discovered the X-Pod Play Off game today, included in the most recent LEGO magazine. Has anyone else had a chance to look at, or even play this game yet? I like this idea for several reasons. 1) It involves the X-Pods which I think are going to be (...) (22 years ago, 25-Mar-04, to lugnet.games, lugnet.general)

Re: most wanted parts that dont exist?

(...) I'm just going for brick sizes that could do the work of what would involve two or more bricks or having to stack plates: 1. 3x4 brick, any color 2. 4x4 brick, any color (funny how you can get it in a plate but not a brick) 3. 4x8 brick, any (...)
