Re: New vs. old (was Re: More 1999 Figs... ?)

(...) The only fallacy in this line of reasoning is the quantity of female hair pieces that TLG made available in various town sets. I’ve always seemed to find that my biggest bang for my buck for specialized pieces was in the various themes that (...) (26 years ago, 27-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: New vs. old (was Re: More 1999 Figs... ?)

(...) I'm often undecided about whether or not I like new pieces. The biggest factor that pursuades me is how useful I think it is across themes. Even purists argue amongst themselves saying that they won't use a piece until they think it useful, (...) (26 years ago, 26-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: New vs. old (was Re: More 1999 Figs... ?)

(...) The problem (for me) is that the Insectoids sets (at least the smaller ones) are only really good for building that one model.   Re: New vs. old (was Re: More 1999 Figs... ?)

(...) What other insectoids-specific parts? I think I've given you a comprehensive list. There's also the trans-yellow/green "eye" domes, but those seemed more generally useful than just insectoid, so I didn't count them. But even with those: three (...)
