  Kabluie!! and my latest absence...

Hey all! Just wanted to give a heads up regarding my end of things. Earlier this week, the power unit in my computer went kabluie! After a few days of figuring out what to do (mind you, I am not hardware savvy), my machine is on again, but I have (...) (21 years ago, 30-Apr-04, to lugnet.gaming.starship)

(...) Great contribution Avery!! (And nice to see you on Lugnet too!) To answer Dan's question in this thread, yes all known sentient life that is from Val Central sector is biologically Terran. Any connection to other Terrans has been lost to the (...) (21 years ago, 30-Apr-04, to lugnet.gaming.starship, FTX)

  Re: ESPG Rule Mod?

Several responses on this thread... As far as draft: As Larry mentions, at least in the games I run, the seas are crowded with islands, so having shallow water extend out several inches would really be a hassle. Also, without actually marking the (...) (21 years ago, 29-Apr-04, to lugnet.gaming)

(...) This would interfere with movement something fierce, as typical game areas have a LOT of islands. Worse, it would interfere with landing at islands and searching for treasure, picking up castaways, getting jumped by mummies, etc. because (...) (21 years ago, 29-Apr-04, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: ESPG Rule Mod?

(...) One possible way to deal with this would be to allow each ship to "advance" a class or two by adding more guns, but limiting the number of times a ship can do this. Once you add another cannon, your ship counts as the next higher class for (...) (21 years ago, 29-Apr-04, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: ESPG Rule Mod?

(...) The ships don't seem to be truly representative of their real-world counterparts. I doubt a cutter would be manned by a 6-person crew any more than it would be carrying only one cannon. The rules really should be somewhat pirate-centric, given (...) (21 years ago, 28-Apr-04, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: The new movie "TROY" and MOCs

(...) Well, Brad Pitt was so dedicated to his role as Achilles that he even went and tore his left achilles tendon! But seriously, I expect it to rank right up there with Gladiator. (...) Another nice one! I'll put the spyglass on it soon. Perhaps you could add a couple of orange slopes to the skull at the stern, to go for the maximum penquin effect. Adieu Richie Dulin (URL) (21 years ago, 29-Apr-04, to lugnet.gaming, FTX)

Re: My word man! Are you insane?!

(...) Very, very nice work, Avery. While unfinished, what you have so far is impressive and informative. In lugnet.gaming.starship, Avery Christy wrote about a species register. Neat idea, and less work than the ship registry once it gets going I think (so eminently doable). We'll probably want to add listings for the Spraw sector - the Explorers and (...) (21 years ago, 28-Apr-04, to lugnet.gaming.starship)

My word man! Are you insane?!

Hey starshippers, I was glancing through the starship registry to remind myself how many quality systems I have used, and the thought struck me (ouch) that a part of the ship registry is the species that each ship belongs to...
