Great contribution Avery!! (And nice to see you on Lugnet too!)
To answer Dans question in this thread, yes all known sentient life that is
from Val Central sector is biologically Terran. Any connection to other Terrans
has been lost to the ages though, so most people there call themselves
Valyancians or Humans with no heritage elsewhere. The Valyancians have numerous
national and local governments and cultural differences, but they are all the
same species.
I do have one alien race that could be added to the list: The Fiu-Jiff.
Currently, the only records of the Fiu-Jiff would be in the logs of only two
player ships who have encountered this reportedly primitive humanoid species in
the Grave Belt sector. Reports suggest they speak an odd dialect of Terran and
have a potential to be resourceful.
And as for Richards suggestion of giving Avery a title for this work, how about
the Galactic Scout?
:-)
