Galactic Greetings! Phew... After a week and a half of not being near a computer much, and then after (as I predicted earlier tonight) at least one loss of power to my household, I have successfully sent off galactic travel reports and all my SM (...) | | Re: More new ships in the pipeline

(...) I actually came up with a list of types of ships for myself way back when we were developing this galaxy. Passenger Liners, Steamers (small cargo vessels that can be easily fitted for passenger or destroyer use), Hospital Ships, Colony Ships, (...) | | Re: Ship Registry

(...) Actually, in one of the earlier versions of the registry, I had the ships listed alphabetically including the prefixes (USS, HES, etc.). In so doing, any player who gave all his ships the same prefix would automatically have his ships grouped (...) (21 years ago, 16-Oct-03, to lugnet.gaming.starship, FTX)

(...) Just to confirm your info... My records indicate the starship Blue Nomad arrived in New Pacific sector on July 4th of this Galactic Year and has remained there since. (...) Hey there! I'm just about to exit this week-long hibernation and send things off tonight. Much to do. Much to do. :) Kinda gusty weather here tonight. My workplace lost power just as I left. Hendo, I am unaware of where you are, what you're doing, how you're doing, etc. so this post is not a rush, merely a question. Have you looked over the poll page I made and emailed to you? Also, any Valyance/whatever emails being sent? Are you (...) (21 years ago, 15-Oct-03, to lugnet.gaming.starship, FTX)

| | Re: Ship Registry

(...) Hmmm. I didn't notice that. Maybe it would be less confusing if the prefixes were removed and put in parenthesis behind the name, or if they were simply included in the alphabetizing process. | | Location of Blue Nomad being narrowed down (was: Emergency distress call from the Blue Nomad)
|
|
The Blue Nomad has been located in New Pacific sector, although the exact location is a matter of urgent investigation. At present it appears that she is lost in the asteroid fields, slowly being ground to fragments. Three Port Block Yards vessels (...) (21 years ago, 13-Oct-03, to lugnet.gaming.starship, FTX)

In lugnet.gaming.starship, Andrew Engstrom wrote worthily on enthusiasm for improving the Registry. Mmmmmm. I get this. With 58 ships, the list is always going to be a bit scary. I have tried to list them in the main list in alphabetical order by (...) (21 years ago, 13-Oct-03, to lugnet.gaming.starship, FTX)

| | Ship Registry
|

Hey all Just a quick observation: The ship registry is filling out nicely, and I'm excited that there are so many ships loping around the galaxy. However, when I'm searching for an individual ship in the list at the top, it can get quite tedious. (...) (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.gaming.starship)
