Re: LEGO gaming at Gen Con?

(...) Cool! Well, even if we're not doing a formal track, we'll get together and make something happen. (...) It would be fun to set up two nearly identical battles on nearby tables and play through them with the two sets of rules. (...) And (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: LEGO gaming at Gen Con?

(...) There's strong odds that I'll be at Gen Con this year, and the prospect of LEGO gaming just increases that to nearly guaranteed. (...) I'd be up for whatever was happening, and could even do something with "Lego Wars - the Simple Version"(1) (...) (22 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: LEGO gaming at Gen Con?

I'll be there and better organized. "Christopher Weeks" <clweeks@eclipse.net> wrote in message news:H9n3Jx.2nw@lugnet.com... (...) who's up (...) games (...) of (...) I don't know if we can do a whole program track of games. We would need help. (...) (22 years ago, 23-Jan-03, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: GW's Tomb Kings

I am currently painting about a hundred of GW Tomb King's Skeltons. I saw your pix and thought they were great. My hat goes off to you. A wonderful idea. Lego Undead vs Lego Undead or Lego Egyptians or whomever. Don P.S. How did you make the (...) (22 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: LEGO gaming at Gen Con?

(...) Hmm, sounds like it would be fun, but I'm not sure I can afford to add another trip to my summer, or in general. Frank (22 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.gaming)

  LEGO gaming at Gen Con?

Hi all, I'm wondering who's planning to go to Gen Con this summer in Indy and who's up for some LEGO gaming? More than that, I think it would be nifty to get an entire track of LEGO games going so that they could justify giving us a designated (...) (22 years ago, 1-Feb-03, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: Dragon's Archipelago

<snip> (...) ill check these out when i next have some time. <snip> (...) That is the essential part of my idea. Each island, a new world! New rules, new ways of doing things. One would be exploration, one would be combat, one would have monsters (...) (22 years ago, 1-Feb-03, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: A Gentle Plea

(...) Im not saying the MM should have further rules. it only has further rules to people playing CQ. If you dont want to participate in the game, you can just have fun building the Market Stalls. No offence, but its because of this that this is (...) (22 years ago, 1-Feb-03, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: Dragon's Archipelago

(...) I was trying to figure out a way to combine all of these concepts so they can work, but I really can't see a way to apply character statistics to an online game, since that would give our nice GM a headache. We don't want that. (...) (URL) (...) (22 years ago, 1-Feb-03, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: Dragon's Archipelago

(...) Hey Matt, thanks for the thoughtful post. I was loosely following the discussion on the other RPG castle game, but got lost with the talk of character stats. There was no real detail, no real ideas, just loose concepts floating around. I guess (...) (22 years ago, 31-Jan-03, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: A Gentle Plea

(...) No it isn't. The Medieval Marketplace is a rough set of guidelines on building Marketstalls. It is not "rules and territories." There is no: * territory or realm to speak of. * no characters involved. * no interaction of any sort (aside from (...) (22 years ago, 31-Jan-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.gaming)

  Re: Dragon's Archipelago

(...) Well, I would also like to make my contributions to this project as well, but what's exactly going on here? We have two separate discussions, one revolving around a realm and the other for a role playing castle project? I'm not even sure if (...) (22 years ago, 31-Jan-03, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: Dragon's Archipelago

(...) Wow! You proposed this EXACT idea? A "near exact duplicate"? The point is: everyone has a different idea about how a game should work, and making all those ideas mesh well is difficult at best. *MY IDEA* was a castle-game-forum in which (...) (22 years ago, 31-Jan-03, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: Dragon's Archipelago

(...) I dont get it. I propose this idea, and i work on it, and then, once people start arguing about it, its dropped, and near exact duplicate is made, that only get support. i dont get it. Why, when i propose something, it gets ripped to shreds, (...) (22 years ago, 31-Jan-03, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: Dragon's Archipelago

(...) <snip> Sounds good! I was about to make a recommendation, but it looks like you already covered my thoughts by saying, "[Island] G.M.'s will create rules that govern their island. Such as dealing with combat, etc." I presume the "Over-Rules" (...) (22 years ago, 31-Jan-03, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: Dragon's Archipelago

(...) Great, with all the psychos arguing in castle. its good that a game project has survived. I personly liked the idea of i.o.m but the game play was rubbish i would love to be a part of this game, as a player or a G.M . (22 years ago, 31-Jan-03, to lugnet.gaming)

  Dragon's Archipelago

  Continuing Brainstorming for Castle Game....

For those just joining us, a number of people have been discussing ideas for a possible online Lego inspired RPG for Castle/Medieval Fantasy. I am just moving it here to .fun.gaming to keep things tidy... (...) I agree that simple is good. Perhaps I (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jan-03, to lugnet.gaming)
