Re: Our Heroes, Keith Goldman and Chris Maddison

Re: Our Heroes, Keith Goldman and Chris Maddison

(...) 'Tis true, in fact, it's one of the first things Ashley said to me while he was unpacking his stuff...the quote was something like "Keith's outstanding big wall creation was so awesome, I had to build one myself." My response was along the (...) (21 years ago, 9-Oct-03, to lugnet.events.nwbrickcon)

  Re: NWBC 2003 Post Mortem

(...) I consider these to be two really large cons against having it in the SeaTac Mall. Seattle Center, while expensive, is centrally located and out of towners will enjoy seeing the Space Needle and some of the local attractions. While the (...)   Re: Our Heroes, Keith Goldman and Chris Maddison

Mark, no apology necessary, the whole problem was that I accused when I should have questioned. Hopfully by now many people know I'm a sarcastic reactionary and not to take me too seriously. Everybody I've met in the hobby (with one exception) is (...) (21 years ago, 9-Oct-03, to lugnet.events.nwbrickcon)

  NWBC 2003 Post Mortem

This year we had an outstanding event. I'm happy to report this post mortem message should be substantially shorter than last years due to fewer issues. The space was awesome. One large room that perfectly accomidated what we aimed to accomplish. I (...) (21 years ago, 8-Oct-03, to lugnet.events.nwbrickcon, lugnet.general)

Re: Our Heroes, Keith Goldman and Chris Maddison

(...) Again Ashley, thanks a bunch. It's always great to see people utilize a design and push past it in some way. You and Mark deserve a bunch of credit for actually going thru with the project and making it one of the biggest hits of the show. (...) (21 years ago, 8-Oct-03, to lugnet.events.nwbrickcon)

Re: The Great American Biomechanical Bricks Northern USA Tour 2003

Well boys and girls, Eric and I made it back to my place in record time. We left Seattle at about 11 pm pacific time after visiting Dan Parker's awesome studio and Wayne Hussey's house. Eric will reply more on those experiences later. Back in Iowa (...) (21 years ago, 8-Oct-03, to lugnet.events.nwbrickcon, FTX)

Re: Our Heroes, Keith Goldman and Chris Maddison

Was there something we could have done as event organizers that would have solved this? Up here we knew that the wall was coming, it was no surprise to the members of SEALUG. It just didn't dawn on us (I know not myself anyway) that you'd think we (...) (21 years ago, 8-Oct-03, to lugnet.events.nwbrickcon)

Re: Our Heroes, Keith Goldman and Chris Maddison

Ashley, thanks for the kind words, and please excuse me if I jumped the gun on my previous post. Most of it was sarcastic, which admittedly is not always the best way to approach a problem. By way of explanation, I didn't remember meeting you at (...) (21 years ago, 8-Oct-03, to lugnet.events.nwbrickcon)

  Re: NWBrickcon Question

(...) Ashley writes... Keith you've got an ally! As I just posted, your "Stations" projects rule...and no ill-will intended. Sorry the MOC showed up as a surprise...I can certainly understand how you would be thinking, "Hey! Where did that come (...) (21 years ago, 8-Oct-03, to lugnet.events.nwbrickcon)

Our Heroes, Keith Goldman and Chris Maddison

Keith and Chris... I wanted you two guys (and the LUGNET public) to know that you deserve extreme credit for the straightforward inspiration and concept for our recent NWBrickCon submission. We built a Goldman-esque wall and spaceships, plus three (...) (21 years ago, 8-Oct-03, to lugnet.events.nwbrickcon)

  Re: NWBrickcon Question

(...) I seriously don't see this as a good line of inquiry to go down. Ashley and Mark ARE great guys, they created something really neat and shared it with us and a lot of paying customers, and you may well be making way way too much of apparent (...)   Castle vs Space?

Hi all, It looks like there was some cross-theme combat at NWBrickCom: (URL) details on this? Bruce (21 years ago, 7-Oct-03, to lugnet.events.nwbrickcon)

  Re: NWBrickcon Question

(...) Awesome layout? Maybe, but I guess the award they won didn't take into acount creativity or originality. The moc encorporates just about every design idea I've put out there, oh, except for the giant white number...I guess these guys have (...) (21 years ago, 7-Oct-03, to lugnet.events.nwbrickcon)

  Re: NWBrickcon Question

(...) Hmm, looks to me like a Keith Goldman creation . . . um, guess not . . . Looks like the Iron Reich has a rival (or possible ally) in the Pacific Northwest. Awesome layout. I like the effect of taking a pile of plates and pinching them together (...) (21 years ago, 7-Oct-03, to lugnet.events.nwbrickcon)

  NWBrickcon Question

I was hoping an attendee of the NWBrickcon could identify the designer of a moc for me: (URL) It looks strangely familiar to me, and I'd like to ask a few questions of the designer. It looks like you guys had a great event, congratulations, and I (...) (21 years ago, 7-Oct-03, to lugnet.events.nwbrickcon)

Contest/voting results (was Re: Brad's talk

Re: The Great American Biomechanical Bricks Northern USA Tour 2003

Eric and Chris have just left my place. It was great seeing all the creations from across the country carted around in that Saturn. Way cool. Way crazy.
