Dear everyone,

The dates for BF 2002 are published: July 19-21, 2002!

I for one, will 90% surely be there, and so will you (unless you plan on
being square!)

So, guys, I'm ready & waiting. What will CW put on this year? Our display
and games were awesome last year. How can we make them even better this time
around? Do we want to do the Gathering format again? Or could we build
sections of IOM? Whaddaya say? Please share your ideas, can't wait to hear more!

There are a fairly good deal of everyone's sig-figs stranded at odd places
on the IOM, so I doubt if, logically, another gathering would be feasible.
But who says we need logic?  How about this for a crazy idea to combine a
gathering and contests:

There is some mad interdimensional demon/lunatic/funlover who decides he
needs some entertainment.  So he teleports a whole bunch of people (singles,
groups, whatever) to some undisclosed location and forces them to put on
games for his entertainment.  That way we can bring everyone together, and
have games/contests/whatever we want to do.  Anyone who wants to can bring
some weird almost-normal-but-not-quite buildings to build this demon's city,
and somebody who has a funky looking citadel could be his main keep.  I
don't know how the idea could be resolved, but hey, it seems like a good
idea.  Perhaps by the end of the weekend either somebody kills him and his
realm disentegrates, or he decides he was suitably entertained, and releases
everyone.  I am sure this kind of idea has been used in comics plenty of
times, but I'm not a comic book reader, so what the heck.

Either way, I will bring my Stone Dragon encampment and my Longship, as well
as Xander and Serena and the airship Athena.

Adrian
