Even though the advent of bley and "blown" (hehheh) has seriously curtailed my purchasing of new sets and my enthusiasm for new product in general, it's not completely a bad thing for a few reasons: 1. In the case of a small convention like BV then there simply aren't the funds to let all the volunteers in for free. In that case you have to set the (...) Not sure I agree there either - speaking as an organiser of Brickvention, all the organisers, helpers, presenters, etc paid registration, it meant the difference between a small loss and a large loss. There is money to pay for licensing fees, building usage, etc. If there is a profit, it (usually) does not go into the (...) (18 years ago, 15-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)
