Re: The Pirate Game at BrickFest 2002

I'd like to thank Frank and everyone else who made this game happen. I got suckered because I thought I was going to see some animation stuff, but due to the room change, I wandered into the begining stages of the game. After a few minutes of (...)   Introducing the Moonbase Project

I was going to wait for Chris Giddens to get home from vacation but I just finished this page on his site (and I'm impatient) so I thought I'd unveil it: (URL) thanks to anyone who has ever offered support in establishing a group building standard.   My Pictures From Brickfest

I've collected my Brickfest pics that focus on the Technic, Model Team, and Mindstorms themes. They are presented along with quick descriptions, and they are all thumbnails linked to larger images.   Re: It was great meeting people at BrickFest!

(...) Hehe... "young and restless"? Trust me, I was not tireless... three hours a night that whole week (Monday before Brickfest through Monday after) caught up with me on the road trip to Tim's house. Even now I'm still exhausted. That bubbly (...) (22 years ago, 25-Jul-02, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.people)

Re: The Pirate Game at BrickFest 2002

(...) ...Maybe have it follow a random course each turn until a pirate got within a fixed "sight range" at which point it would always move to follow the closest pirate (so you could lure it closer to someone else and make it follow them >-) ...I (...)   Re: The Pirate Game at BrickFest 2002

(...) That is how we've used Imperial ships in the past, they would come out when rampant acts of piracy were starting to occur. (...) An interesting idea, though generally the capture of a merchant ship is plenty of incentive. Often though the crew (...)   Re: It was great meeting people at BrickFest!

(...) I'm really good with names and faces but not so good with enumerating lists. Ya I also just realized I forgot Ondrew Hartigan and Eric Wackerfuss from the Chicago area.   Re: The Pirate Game at BrickFest 2002

(...) Frank, While I was not able to participate at the fest I have an idea or two: - Maybe an Imperial Ship would act as a police type presence. Entering at a random or GM determined point. Sort of on patrol and seeking to eliminate any ship it (...) (22 years ago, 25-Jul-02, to lugnet.gaming, lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.pirates)

Re: well wishes /coverage/ Thank you!

(...) This is a GREAT idea. It works better for creations that don't move around but even they could benefit. Just have each room get a unique letter prefix and have the room coordinator start handing out numbers as models appear. (or have a big box (...)   Wow...(a late thank you)

Re: It was great meeting people at BrickFest!

It was a special moment to actually have someone come up to me and say how much of a pleasure it was to finally meet ME.
