Now this is terrific work.  In my mind it looks more like something from the
Harry Potter world than any of the sets that LEGO themselves produced for
that series.

Thanks much Allan.

If LEGO released this set tomorrow I would buy it.  Do you hear that LEGO?
If you were to release sets like this, that have actual walls and a roof...
you will sell them.  And the grey bricks.  Ah, what fun those would be to
rebuild into other structures.

While I agree with you, in their defense, if this was an *empty* building,
and followed the magic .10 per piece price,

Sorry, I should have been more specific.  I was only speaking of the
building itself, not the contents.  An empty building as fully realized as
this would be so preferrable to the hollow and vacant things that pass as
buildings in the Harry Potter line.

and "optimized" (where I have 2
1x4 bricks together they used a 1x8, get the idea?), this set would still
cost well over $150, approaching $200.

Or, about the same price as the Blockade Runner.  ;)

Plus, think of all that crap in
there and you've got a $300-$400 set on your hands...:-(

It's only a matter of time before they try marketing a set in this price range.

Actually, in Canadian dollars, the standard Mindstorms set runs well over
$325 *if* you can find it anywhere.

Keep up the great work.  Are you planning to release any sort of
instructions or building tips to accompany this model?

Regards,
Allan B.
