  Re: zactly

(...) <snip> (...) The world continues to change. I work at a university where some of the buildings were built brick by brick by masons who were most likely proud of their work and effort. There are cornerstones on some of them with the date of (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general)

Re: What Happens To Returned Legos?

(...) Interesting. I would like to purchase a few "K8's". Maybe we can get Lego to bulk sell K8's to the Lugnet community? It would be nice to buy bulk amounts of relatively current sets at extremelly discounted prices. Do you know if Lego Direct (...)   Re: What Happens To Returned Legos?

(...) The first time I saw these boxes I just said wait for them to show up at Goodwill. I purchased my first UCS X-Wing less than 3 weeks later for 35.00. It has gotten so bad that when I see new sets in the store I gauge their ability to stand up (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.lego)

  Re: What would it take?

(...) Do you really think that this is the way TLG thinks? Do you really think TLG will "turn off" completely because we complain too much? I think not - I think they will be looking at our complaints and going "if this is what will make them give (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general)

  Re: Future of Belville

(...) Thank you. Red Roadster! wonderful! The blue and yellow vehicles are no slouches either :-) ...   Re: What Happens To Returned Legos?

(...) Yea, definitely bad packaging. (...) I certainly enjoyed the movies, and I have kept some of the models together, but to me the attraction is the parts they offer. The biggest attraction of course is peasants for castle set ups, but almost (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.lego)

Otherwise, I buy DACTA and used Lego. It ebbs and flows. (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general)

Re: What Happens To Returned Legos?

(...) Where do you live? I'd never thought of looking to Goodwill for cheap parts - good idea. The Stars Wars UCS series may be the worst packaging of any retail set Lego has ever sold. I can't say I've ever understood the fascination with Star Wars (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.lego)

Re: What Happens To Returned Legos?

(...) Here where I live most (but not all) l TRU returns or damaged boxes are routed through the local Goodwill. Goodwill removes the UPC from the box then uses *way* too much masking tape to tape up the boxes to prevent people from opening it in (...)   Re: What Happens To Returned Legos?

Unfortunately, that doesn't always apply to damaged sets at TRU (Australia, anyway). I found a already opened UCS X-wing on a shelf the other day and asked what they could do, and they said emphatically "Nothing, it goes back to Lego". Might depend (...)   Re: What would it take?

No. TLC wants to make money. If a partnership with Microsoft (which as myself and obviously some others agree, is a vile and worthless armpit of a company) will help TLC, then they will form a partnership with Microsoft. If diversifying their (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general)

  Re: zactly
