  Re: Velaria, version 3.0

(...) Looks good, Jason, and welcome to ozbricks! It's so nice not to have to worry about banners. I was going to suggest you give credit to ozbricks for hosting you, but then I looked again and saw you did indeed have a link in your links page. My (...)   Re: Question on the IOM

Matt, I think your concept sounds like it could be fun. Why don't you start a website and run it? -Aaron "Matt Hein" <Pyrokid17@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:Gwq9yA.983@lugnet.com...   Re: Question on the IOM

(...) Creatures that are created by magic, but don't need magic to keep survive, such as skeletons, zombies, and golems, should be fine. I don't think creatures of raw magic has ever been addressed. I would imagine they would be unable to enter the (...) (22 years ago, 26-May-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: Question on the IOM

(...) Perhaps a lot more than people are needed for IOM to continue? I personally think more effort should be placed in the real-time scenerio compendium, an addition I proposed earlier, but nobody seemed to like (for some reason I don't know of) To (...)   The Begining...

Fist I would like to say that I have finally joined Castle World(I just sent the email). My characters are Bob the Slayer and his mount, dragon Nuurshuvaliont. This post is made to tell of their backgrounds and the begining of their journey to the (...) (22 years ago, 25-May-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: Question on the IOM

I think that the Isle Of Mist should continue. It would be bad if it just stopped right at the begining. Maybe new people are needed. I am now taking pictures of my "sig-fig" and working on how he can get to the Isle. Off-topic but: will the (...) (22 years ago, 25-May-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: Question on the IOM

I believe that Anthony really has a great question here, and I would also like it answered. Why make the IOM without ANY of the maps of the territories covered in mist, then release it? Dont get me wrong, I think the IOM thing is awesome! Im just (...) (22 years ago, 6-May-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Question on the IOM

Ok, yeah, there are a lot of questions out there about why the IOM has stalled. We all know the answer now, because of the lack of maps. But here's my question... Why did the IOM go gold without a full and complete map to back it up? I mean, why did (...) (22 years ago, 3-May-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: Hello!

(...) Well, yes, I could see that. and, colonization is interesting, but why not put an additional storyline about it, such say, General Red decides to go to IOM to escape his rogue government, when he discovers the myth of mist, about the treasure (...)   Re: Hello!

(...) There are many, many possibilities. Maybe there is a war at home, and they are looking for help. Maybe there was a legend about sleeping gods on the isle. Maybe they want to colonize. Or maybe they just want to explore. :) (...) Ah, but there (...) (22 years ago, 1-May-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: Hello!

(...) That isn't really what I had in mind. It forces the author's characters to act in a certain ways, which isn't good. A better scenario would be a detailed description of an unusual creature, with ecological and lifestyle information. Let's say (...) (22 years ago, 1-May-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: Hello!

(...) Even so, without a preset storyline, what missions would there be, entirely? Most of them, I presume would be the expansion of cities, exploration of caves, and such. However, with a storyline, the idea of the story would progress much more (...) (22 years ago, 30-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: Hello!

(...) How about ideas more like 'a weird nomand warns you of great treasure gaurded by the Killer Goblins ahead', making it completely optional. Is IOM still goung to continue? You could at least make something happen on the 4 squares already made. (...) (22 years ago, 30-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: Hello!

(...) Well, the point of IOM is creative freedom for the individual authors in an interactive environment. Forcing them to follow a single storyline is antithesis to the original plan. (...) I think you're missing the point of IOM. Its a tool for (...) (22 years ago, 30-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: Hello!

(...) A seeded story would be a good idea, but I think implementing an actual storyline into the whole IOM would be a decent idea too. However, I see hardly any story line, and the missions sent into the IOM seem more like expeditions into the (...) (22 years ago, 29-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: Hello!

(...) Well, I think the lack of map updates is the problem in that respect. Most people were sending characters to the IOM on a mission, but they can't continue on these missions if they can't actually go anywhere. One suggestion I made a while back (...)   Re: Hello!

(...) Hey, *cool* movie! I like the idea. You might want to tape the baseplate down to a table and keep the camera in one spot - that way the movie will be smoother. Have you checked out www.brickfilms.com ? It's a great place for movie-makers. I (...) (22 years ago, 27-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)
