Re: The Wanderer, an online image-novella.

(...) Thanks! It took a while to get the set built - I wanted to give it a nice dense "foresty" feel and block out as much of the "real world" as possible, all within the confines of my limited collection of greenery. Much shuffling of trees ensued! (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jul-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, lugnet.castle.ninja)

Re: The Wanderer, an online image-novella.

(...) Hey, cool, kudos from a pro! :) I'm using a digital camera, specifically a Sony DSC-505V. It handles the macro shots quite well I think for a point-n-shoot camera. Just needs lots of light, which is why I took the whole shebang out into the (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jul-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, lugnet.castle.ninja)

Re: The Wanderer, an online image-novella.

(...) Thanks for reminding me about that by the way. I'd intended to add a caveat regarding the potential need for a rating, but forgot in mid-post. I just hope my earlier slap-dash reply covers it..   Re: The Wanderer, an online image-novella.

(...) I like your story but I feel that the excess blood in the story is too reminiscent of Mortal Kombat and too many anime scenes in anime so I believe that if you want an equally effective scene, you should use angles in your work. I love the (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jul-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, lugnet.castle.ninja)

Re: The Wanderer, an online image-novella.

(...) I have been thinking that I should expand beyond LEGO Space soon so I will try (one of these days) to build a LEGO Castle. I will also see that story. Jesse Long P.S. Are you still angry at me, Shiri? (23 years ago, 9-Jul-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, lugnet.castle.ninja)

Re: Himeji Castle MOC (soon to be at Brickfest 2001)

(...) Thanks Greg. I plumb forgot to mention that this particular Himeji Castle MOC takes at least 4 FNFs (6093s) since it uses 40 ninja rock slopes. I like the double height rock slopes because it more realistically represents the scale of the (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jul-01, to lugnet.castle.ninja, lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.loc.jp)

Re: Himeji Castle MOC (soon to be at Brickfest 2001)

(...) KK - absolutely brilliant! I stumbled across your pictures this afternoon on Brickshelf while uploading some of my own and found them to be entertaining and educational (as your work has been in the past). I have a simmering interest in (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jul-01, to lugnet.castle.ninja, lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.loc.jp)

Himeji Castle MOC (soon to be at Brickfest 2001)

Decided to release Himeji Castle today instead the day before Brickfest 2001. What can I say ? It was always the castle that I wanted to build with Lego but never could do it justice till now. I am glad I took my time (about 3 months and many (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jul-01, to lugnet.castle.ninja, lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.loc.jp) !!

Re: The Wanderer, an online image-novella.

Whoops! Shiri's post reminded me; I'd forgotten to add that there is some measure of "splatter factor" in this piece, so those with delicate sensibilities and/or young children should click (or not) appropriately.   Re: The Wanderer, an online image-novella.

Hi Kevin! Wow, that *rocks*. Oughtta be PG-13 with all that violence, but it looks like a very promising start of a great story. More comments below... (...) You're not being too presumptuous; you're welcome to join CW. A lot of people just post (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, lugnet.castle.ninja)

  The Wanderer, an online image-novella.

X-P'd to: .announce because it seems appropriate somehow .castle.org.cw because plenty of story stuff goes on there - I hope I'm not being too presumptuous .castle.ninja because, well, it'll be obvious momentarily Greetings all.   The GFLTC at TRU in Tampa Florida

Fair warning, long posting. Four members of the GFLTC, Robin Werner, Scott Holcomb, Scott Miller and I, participated in a "new" event for us which is to put on a display at a local Toys R' Us in South Tampa. The event was promoted for a month prior (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.castle.ninja, lugnet.events)

  Re: Ninja Weaponry

(...) Hi Sun, They didn't. The Japanese rarly got into proper seige situations, it wasn't considered honorable to hide in your castle. Few serious seigd weapons were used, or at least, were recorded as having been used. If there was a siege it was (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle.ninja)

  Ninja Weaponry

I was wondering what kind of advanced weaponry medieval Japanese armies used back in the day. By advanced weaponry, I'm refering to large seige weapons such as trebuchets and catapults etc etc. I suppose they don't have to be land based either. (...)   Re: Brickfest

(...) Right you are on all counts, Shiri! First, there's no real need for a 'competition' (I've always considered Ninja a part of Castle anyway). Second, I am bringing 3 eastern characters: Emperor Antonio Inoki, Gen. Toshiaki Kawada, and the hon. (...) (23 years ago, 14-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle.ninja)
