Re: "Official" catalog pics at www.lego.com

(...) I like the baby T-Rex with Johnny thunder. That is great. Timbo (25 years ago, 10-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: A new castle babe!!! (and a weird knight)

(...) I got lucky - I came across a Snowspeeder in Wal-Mart which was opened, but complete. Otherwise, I'd still be 2000-catalog-less. Steve (25 years ago, 10-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

(...) glimpse (...) Do you mean the guard to the right of the king? From Brickshelf, it's hard to tell... (25 years ago, 11-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: A new castle babe!!! (and a weird knight)

(...) Ooooh! I wanna see! Can you send me them, maybe? Thanx Shiri (25 years ago, 11-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: A new castle babe!!! (and a weird knight--not a woman)

(...) Perhaps you have a larger picture than I do, but I have to say that the only female I see is on the top of the tower of 6091. The knight by the gate shows no obvious female characteristics. In fact, with that style helm on, how can you say for (...) (25 years ago, 11-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: A new castle babe!!! (and a weird knight)

(...) armor'! :):) (...) Mail (...) I think they're talking about a different girl - they think there are two girls - the "princess", AND a warrior-girl. I'm not so sure - I don't have the catalog with me, and the one at brickshelf isn't clear (...) (25 years ago, 11-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

2000 Sets found in the US

[follow-ups to lugnet.market.shopping--that seems as logical as anything else] Weee-haaaa! I just got back from Meijers, and they had a *ton* of new LEGO sets. :):):) I restrained myself, mostly. I only spent about $180, and $40 of that was for a (...) (25 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.town, lugnet.castle)

  6067 with an added bonus!

Well, a bunch of castle stuff that I bought from Tom Schlosser came over the weekend... and I found a rather good bonus! I bought the Guarded Inn (6067) and instead of the red princess conehead hat, I got the white one!!! Of course this means (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: 6067 with an added bonus!

(...) Do you feel that you were misled or that the condition of the sets were misrepresented to you before you bought or traded for them? You don't make that clear in your post. I've bought sets from people that had missing elements, but I never (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

2000 Castle - Royal Joust in Salem, NH

Dropped by the Salem, NH TRU over lunch. Only one 2000 LEGO set: the Royal Joust. No time to put it together, but some first impressions from looking it over: * I thought the king had a black beard from the catalog pics. Maybe there are two kings, (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Future New Castle Weapon

The castle theme has a very nice variety of weapons that have been made for it over the years, but one conspicuously absent from the theme has been the mace. In my opinion, maces are friggin' awesome, and I think it would look pretty cool if lego (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Future New Castle Weapon

(...) I'd second that on the mace, and now with the advent of Lego chains we could also have a mace and flail!! I also think they could do a couple of variations on the Halberd as well. Any other weapons people would like to see? Daggers, (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Future New Castle Weapon

(...) I like outrageously exaggerated weapons, like the HUGE scythe I made for my Grim Reaper (based on an idea I got from someone else). One weapon I've made is a giant mace for a mounted warrior. I took a black flag pole and attached a dark gray (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Future New Castle Weapon

(...) it (...) mace. (...) Maces would be my first choice - flanged, but I'd take spiked. A wavy-bladed flamberge would be cool. I've pressed the Adventurer's pick into service (gotta saw down those legs to make dwarves). I suppose it's too small (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Female Knight for Castle 2000

(...) About the female knight (see (URL), set #6091, the knight in the lower-right corner, as you look at the castle). It *is* a woman mini-fig. The armor, printed on the torso, is nothing compared to the new maiden torso's tight corset, but it (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: 2000 Castle - Royal Joust in Salem, NH

(...) White beard?!? Wow, cool! I could have an old, wise king and a prince just waiting to success him... The possibilities are endless... :-) (...) This sounds better and better... (Too good to be true? I hope not) (...) Damn... I'm back to (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: 2000 Castle - Royal Joust in Salem, NH

(...) Isn't the King's beard black and grey? It's hard to describe, but there's a definite two-tone aspect to it. The upper part (above the jaws, I guess) is gray (maybe white), with black vertical lines (not parallel, more like rays projecting from (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Female Knight for Castle 2000

(...) set (...) from (...) All Right! Yes! Finally, lego seem to be (at least a bit) evolving from their "boys are fighters, woman stay at home" theme. Also, two females in one castle set is great for me, especially considering the only castle girl (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

In lugnet.castle, Steve Bliss writes: 7 (...) Excellent. I've got a character just waiting for a face like that. (The smiley w/bangs just doesn't cut it as a 'tough medieval mercenary') James (URL) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Torturer

To further my mace idea a little bit, how about a dungeon torturer/executioner type dude to go along with it? We would get to see some nice torture instruments that way...how 'bout a cat-o-nine-tails? Mike (25 years ago, 14-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)
