They were called guard robes and were just a hole in a plank over a pit. Clothes used to be hung in them as well as the smell kept away moths. The Tech 2x4 plate is a real good solid LARGE hole, and to plug up the other two holes in the seat (so as not to confuse the minifigure) use a pair of 1x2 tiles as butt-bumpers.
