Re: ultimate castle range - Romans!!!

Luke: (...) Have a look at (URL) you want inspiration for some models from the Roman empire. Play well, Jacob -- "It's not a question of whose habitat it is, it's a question of how fast you hit it." (24 years ago, 30-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)

  ultimate castle range - Romans!!!

A Roman range would be excellent, with a gladiator arena. With different gladiator minifigs and chariots - just like in the gladiator film - nice!!! (24 years ago, 30-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Ultimate castle theme..

(...) I guess I'm taking my <set:6497 Twisted Time Train> and two <set:6496 Whirling Time Warpers> for granted, I consider black a fairly normal colour for dragon wings. But what am I supposed to do with the bathtubs???? (24 years ago, 30-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)

Lord of the Rings buildings (was: ULTIMATE CASTLE RANGE)

(...) It seems that Lego has gone off buildings, no town, no space bases, only one (half completed) castle. I know they've always done building fronts, but lately we've not even got those. Bring back buildings Lego! In any case, here's a list of (...) (24 years ago, 30-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Ultimate castle theme..

(...) Also keep in mind that Anakin Skywalker the minifig is just as tall as Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and for that matter Darth Vader. Heck, so is Watto, the mini-fig. I'll grant that these are both characters supposed to be smaller than normal, but I'm (...) (24 years ago, 29-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: ULTIMATE CASTLE RANGE

(...) Sure! We could have a hobbit hole or two, Barad-dur (Sauron's house), something from Moria, Minas Tirith, good old Tom Bombadil's house, Rivendell, etc... And of course, the elves could finally bring back something akin to the forestman (...) (24 years ago, 29-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Ultimate castle theme..

(...) Keep in mind that the sets will be based on the movie, not the books. So what LEGO does will most likely depend on how Hagrid is depicted in the movie. (24 years ago, 29-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: ULTIMATE CASTLE RANGE

(...) ... if Lego announces that they were licensed to carry Lord of the Rings sets, I will be flying high :) Although ... were there really many buildings in the Trilogy, or was it mostly characters? Either way - I wouldn't complain. -- Pawel (24 years ago, 29-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)

  ULTIMATE CASTLE RANGE

Personally i think Lego should do a king Arthur range. For this not only a castle but village sets, so that you could put together an ideal Camelot. Also, a set containing each of his knights, each one with their own emblem on the shield, tunic and (...) (24 years ago, 29-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)

Lego Revamps( was Re: Ultimate castle theme..)

(...) Personally I would think that the price range should be something like this. Tiny Set (ie simple promotionals,cars,boats)- Under £5 -- This would encourage pocket money spending (Kbaya? type schemes..) Small set --(Piece counts?) £10 Mid-range (...)   Re: Ultimate castle theme..

(...) I won't give anything away, but a Chewbacca, Watto, or Ghost size fig would not do. Hagrid is very large. Not only taller, but with broad shoulders too. A simple slip cover would not do, atleast that is my opinion. Kevin Blocksidge (24 years ago, 29-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Ultimate castle theme..

(...) Your in luck John! Lego Shop at home sells a connectors accessory set. It is $3 and you get 60 pieces. 2 of each clip type in gray, black, yellow, blue white and red. You also get 2 1x1 round plates of each color too. Not bad for 3 bucks! Here (...) (24 years ago, 29-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Ultimate castle theme..

(...) wings (...) That was my original design but I don't have any black, white of brown (but espesially white) of those clips. ALl I have is greys John (24 years ago, 29-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Ultimate castle theme..

(...) I have a version that is simpler and could be ridden. I don't recall ever seeing a saddle on a Pegasus before. It's beneath them! Take a look: (URL) uses 2 white side clips, a white 1x2 plate and a 1x2 tile. If you remove the two 1x2's, you (...) (24 years ago, 29-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Ultimate castle theme..

In lugnet.castle, Ed T. Toton III writes: <snip> (...) I agree, in general. In fact, your ideas are remarkably similar to some thoughts I had a few weeks ago, so I'll toss in mine too: A basic underlying precept I have is my belief that, if Lego (...)   Re: Ultimate castle theme..

(...) I've got a design that looked more like a Nazgul's winged steed: Black horse, 2 black car headlight bricks, a single 1x2 black plate on top, 2 black accessory clips (the vertical kind that go on top of a stud), and 2 black wings. Add a red (...) (24 years ago, 29-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Ultimate castle theme..

(...) Are you using Internet Explorer 5? With that version, hitting backspace is just the same as clicking the Back button on the navigation bar. Hitting Enter will also take you Forward. Wilson (24 years ago, 29-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Ultimate castle theme..

(...) Haven't read the books but if this character is bigger than normal, then it would be fairly easy for TLC to make a piece like a ghost, chewbacca or watto to make a minifig bigger. Mike (24 years ago, 29-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Ultimate castle theme..

(...) If they are going to make Hagrid, they will have to make him bigger than a normal 'fig, or else he wouldn't look at all like Hagrid. And they would need black beards. If they do make a bigger fig or somehow modify the existing fig to make it (...) (24 years ago, 29-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Ultimate castle theme..

(...) I have made a variation of the Pegasus that can be ridden. The wings are attached to two black robot arms (the old space ones), one for each wing. These are then attached to the sadle clips, and the entire thing is placed on the horse. The (...) (24 years ago, 29-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)
