Bruce I use technic pins (not friction pins)1 in most of my modular creations
like my Inn, Church, and City Wall. I don't have pics of the pins on the in
but here are pics of the Church and City wall.

For most buildings I use 1x1 technic beams with a technic pin although with the
Wall I used 1x2 technic beams just because the wall was thicker anyway.
This tends to work OK if you don't have big sections and you can get away with
4 or less pins. Once you go beyond that like I did with the Inn it becomes
quite a chore trying to take apart and put together the sections.

1. I think Technic Friction pegs are the ones with the "+" on one end and a
regular pin on the other "o". The one's I use just have the "o" on both ends.
