What about black? That generally looks best with gray (IMO). It would serve
to define the windows, and make them more obvious.

In a countryside/village Inn, the backdoor might lead to a well or a stream.
They'd probably need their own water supply to serve all that food. :)

A stableyard is an open area in front of the stable where groups of travelers
can gather after they arrive or before they leave. It serves to keep traffic
out of the streets. :)
