Hi Shiri,

Overall, I like the design of your inn.  I do have a few suggestions and
questions, though.  :)

Thanks!

When building a structure made of "stone", I like to frame window- and
door-frames in a highlight color.  Something similar to this:

I'll get pictures of my castle this weekend, so you can see how I did it.  For
your Inn, Black would probably look best. :)

Hmm... I'm not sure if I have 1x4 arches in the right colors.
If I highlight, and add a color-line, I'd love to make a green one... but I
don't have any green plates OR arches, and doubt I can get any. I'll prolly go
with red, but that sorta defeats the purpose of the inn in my storyline
(neutral, unaffiliated). Making it blue would be even worse, tho' - so I'd go
with red if nothing else is available.

Most Inns would probably have a front door and a back door.  The back door
would have been off the Kitchen, so patrons wouldn't see the employees come
and
go.  :)

I thought about this. Haven't decided yet, though.

Is your Inn going to be in a city, village, or out in the countryside?  This
would probably determine where the door actually leads.  :)

Either village or countryside (ie, middle of nowhere). It'll be in a village
if I have one... meanwhile I don't, so it's countryside.

(Maybe for shooting the storyline I can arrange something with Dave or Eric K
and put the inn in their villages.)

Are you going to have a stableyard?  Will the stable be attached to the Inn or
separate?

Not sure what you mean by stable*yard*. I'll have a small stable with three or
four stalls max.

Will the interior be accessable?  How?

Yes. Probably a removable/sliding second floor.

That is all I can think of at the moment.  Keep up the good work!

OK, thanks!

Save the Whales!  I may get hungry later...

Ugh! Do you *have* to stick that in your sig? I know I joked about the
dolphins, but I can't stand seeing this in every post... (j/k ;)

(...) What about black? That generally looks best with gray (IMO). It would serve to define the windows, and make them more obvious. (...) In a countryside/village Inn, the backdoor might lead to a well or a stream. They'd probably need their own (...) (24 years ago, 11-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)
