Could it be, Lego are making moves towards a new Castle Lego line, certainly
they should be motivated by the success of the MegaBloxs Dragons line. I
can't see them releasing another Castle Legend or Moc until they have
catered for some of the undersupported themes (although they would be
welcome) Reading the reasons for releasing the reworked SW sets, it would
appear they consider their core market to change completely in a 4 or 5 year
period, a lot of young Lego fans havent ever known Castle Lego except the
Legends and MOC series. I'd hope any new Lego range would follow the high
standard of these offerings :)

any thoughts, anyone, Bueller, anyone

Personally, I see three different ideas behind his statement.

Of course, these are only opinions, so regard them as such.

1.  As it was said in a recent thread in the Classic-Castle forums about Harry
Parter (funny picture was involved, no minifigs were actually hurt), LEGO could
be taking the time in Harry Parter... err Potter to recharge their thinking, to
ressurect castle after the recent Castle themes, to start over.

2.  After reading the whole of Brad's talk the other day, I began to wonder if
LEGO's love of licenses and partnerships might cause them to form one for
castle.  However, I just can't think of what they might license for themselves.
I mean, LOTR would be an obvious choice, but Intelliblock (or whatever it was)
already has the LOTR contract, unless they cancelled it do to sales.  I don't
know... Dragon Riders of Pern?  Braveheart?  I just don't see this thing
happening.

3.  Or finally, LEGO has so loved the Harry Potter line, and since they view it
as 'castle,' that they don't view LEGO Castle as dead or dormant as we do, and
thus any questions regarding Castle is answered while referring to that line.

Anyway, that's my two cents.

For us, thats the prime reason to buy a set, but for most kid fans, it's playing (...) (21 years ago, 7-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)
