Yeah, id like to see more MOCs, and storys, etc
too.

Yep...creations as always good, and I'm working
on starting a few projects as of now. (the
dragon project is coming along very nicely
as I devised an awesome angles wing system
utilizing no hinges. Just have to finish the
legs and tail... and I need more tentacle
pieces :)

As for stories, I'll eventually get a
few of them out as well...(someday...)

but we are not going to do that by putting
restraints on posts and making everything
that doesnt fit exactly into .Castle go to
another group. We would see techniqes if
there was inspiration. and CastleQuests
purpose is inspiration! i do not want to
see something that could potentionaly start
to revive .castle put into .fun.gaming.
because it ISNT JUST A GAME!

I personally hate it when people try to
place restraints on a particular group
just because they feel it would serve
well for compartmentalization, and to add,
they're rarely post to .castle, so it's
basicaly intrusion to me. This might be
just the discussion to unite the community,
but instead we get people trying to divide
it using the whole gaming idea to say
it's off charter. (but since this is not
completely a game but a realm, it would not
really fit within .fun.gaming's charter
either.)

The point of CastleQuest is to inspire people
to put up mocs, and storys. The game part of
it is just so that people dont have intire
control over it. it makes it more fun.
In CastleQuest, with enough points, you can build
a town. it is like CW or IOM with rules and
Gamemasters. thats all! and you wont see
anything happen if posts like the roll call
dont happen. the roll call got tons of lurkers
to delurk! they are now known!

And more players might decide to participate in
.castle and henceforth, more posts about creations,
ideas, MOCs, stories, etc. What does the castle
community have to lose by these posts? If anything,
I think this discussion shold evoke interest
with newbies or lurkers. (we need more ideas!)

I will not read or work on CasteQuest if it is .
fun.gaming. that may fit somewhat into the
category of it castlequest, but not intirly.
it doesnt fit in castle or gaming, really.
its in between. that was my idea. combine
gaming and the art of brick. instead, we
argue about wether characters can die and
if its in the right forum.

Well, even if they decide for switching it
to .gaming, I'm going to remain ardent on
keeping it here. The charter speaks of
ideas and inspiration, and this project
is full of it.

(and I don't see why there was some
questions about Tatanya's story post.)

Why not make CastleQuest a sub-forum
like CW was? its virtually the same thing.
then, put a link on the main castle page
(i know, have to talk that out with
the webmaster) to it.

(answered in a previous post.)

I know posts like the roll call take up
space etc, but why ban them? unless its
a totally interesting topic that everybody
will like, dont post?

I'm not sure why some are up for banning
roll call posts? Why not ban .debate since
that has little relevancy to lego? What
about theme groups that haven't had posting
since forever? IIRC, debate threads get
pretty large, so why go against castle
threads? (at least some form of positive
community discussion is taking place.) If
someone hates the fact of a community
project, they shouldn't really bother
to post at all.

If the friendliest place on the internet
has restrictions like this, i dont want
to be a part of it.

Whoa...don't go that far.

Would everyone just listen for a sec? If
more of these posts occur in .castle
regarding incorrect placement or discussion
or irrelveant posts, it might only serve to
scare off potential lurkers. Let's just
calm down for a second and assert our main
priorities:

1. Making .castle an inviting place to post,
and getting more lurkers to <delurk> This
will keep .castle active.

2. Keeping interesting discussion where it
belongs, here. We need more inspiration,
stories, ideas and building techniques.

3. More leadership. We need a castle
curator- badly. Someone should be
elected to maintain the sidebar. Any
takers? I'd be happy to help.

Sorry for extremely ranting, but this is how
i feel on this subject, and i am not going
to tiptoe around it.

Hey, some of this really needed to be
addressed. Nice to see you're standing
for what you believe.
