Re: New release of Castle series —Magnus Lauglo
(...) I think this could be a great theme. It would open up other great possibilities, like a castle in tan with an Eastern flavour. Perhaps it could also go in the direction of fairy tales/fantasy with flying carpets and the like, which might be (...) (23 years ago, 2-May-02, to lugnet.castle)

(...) If it were up to me I would pass on the fairy tale/fantasy elements. But I will take some Lego Camels! (the animal kind) (...) Good idea, although I dislike disfiguring my Lego weapons.         Re: New release of Castle series —Matt Hein
(...) For me, I think an early roman theme would do quite good as well, or for that matter, a renedition of the crusader wars from the 12th century (I think). What would really do well, would be that we already have an abundance of roman style (...) (23 years ago, 2-May-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: New release of Castle series —Pedro Silva
(...) I agree with what you say about the romans, but *why limit to the romans* when there are lots of people from the Classic Ages? Think Greeks, Phoenicians, Chartaginians, Gauls, Germans, Britons,... it would be a never-ending theme, every year (...) (23 years ago, 2-May-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: New release of Castle series —Jackie Tang
(...) Vow, I agree. (I am a Chinese, hehe) It will be great to have a theme of the Chinese Martial Art World. Have you guys seen the movie "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon?". Jackie (23 years ago, 3-May-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: New release of Castle series —Pedro Silva

Re: New release of Castle series —Pedro Silva
(...) I had seen the GWoC in brickshelf, IIRC. One good thing about KK's design is the use of the modular walls, which would represent a good path for an eventual chinese theme by LEGO, allowing any such collection to grow without physical limits.           Re: New release of Castle series —Erik Olson
I believe the prospects for official ancient toy themes relies on popular entertainment. (Personally, I'd rather not see an official one.)           Re: New release of Castle series —Pedro Silva
(...) Picture Boba Fett's helmet in a different colour - and you have an hoplite's helmet!          Re: New release of Castle series —Stephen Kane
Hi all, Just a thought on this stuff about introducing specific historical lego, I think most of us would like a return to the European-style castles that dominated the 80s and early 90s but keep in mind that these castles were still generic (not (...)
