  Re: Castle Builder's Guild

(...) I really like www.iltco.org and think that we should model a castle site after it. (...) Originally, Lenny and I wanted to do both but now I agree with you. There should be one site for the castle community and another featuring custom (...) (21 years ago, 13-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Arrival At Varykino

Check out our latest diorama MOC from our (URL) The arrival of Anakin and Padme at Varykino after the Geonosian battle signals a new phase in their lives. They are greeted by a couple of handmaidens, two Naboo guards and the two droids. Padme's (...)   Re: My Newest (and Largest) MOC yet

Very nice...awating the other pictures to see more details :) If someone is not able to see the pic - just copy the link in the brower twice, or hit <enter> again. It's a geocities.com-"bug" - so you have to check the pic twice - and there it is (...) (21 years ago, 13-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Castle Builder's Guild

(...) Hey Hop-Frog, If you're looking for someone to pick up the reigns of Castle World, I'll be happy to take up the yolk of responsibility for it. I'm jobless right now, so I've got a lot of time on my hands, as well as a very dedicated and (...) (21 years ago, 13-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Brickfest 2003 and the Dark Griffon

Hey all, First, I just want to say one thing: Attending Brickfest 2003 was one of the best things I've ever done in my lifetime. I realize that may be a sad thing to say, but for me, it's true. I don't think I've had so much fun with LEGO, and I (...) (21 years ago, 13-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

Re: My Newest (and Largest) MOC yet

Actually, the link works just fine. Most people aren't aware of this, but geocities has direct linking policy issues that prevent individuals from viewing images directly (without going to the website the image is from) by clicking on a link. To get (...) (21 years ago, 13-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Citadel of Kel-Nuroc

(...) I am glad you enjoyed our presentation this year. It was alot of work, but the reception made it all worth it :) (...) Np, that is the greatest part and the worst part for me about Brickfest...I get to talk with my fellow AFOLs face to face, (...) (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle)

My Newest (and Largest) MOC yet

Hi all, Now that I've had some free time I was able to build my latest project. I've been thinking about how to do this most of the summer but hadn't gotten around to doing it. I had to sacrafice my Kings Mountain Fortress, three Guarded Inns, (...) (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Castle Builder's Guild

(...) Brickshelf. And you could do that here via FTX image embedded posts. Someone could do a sidebar of instruction links from a castle subgroup called "lugnet.castle.instructions". Just as their could be a subgroup called: (...) (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Castle Builder's Guild

(...) Well, the web interface with FTX posting allows for images within posts -- that should encourage some. You can deep link to brickshelf and others can see what you built immediately via an FTX image embedded post! To me the point is to share, (...) (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Castle Builder's Guild

Ben, My comments are below yours. (...) I like the idea of an (URL) or an (URL) site. I think it is overdue for the castle theme. It would be a great place for a standard to be created and diseminated. After looking over you post and taking a look (...) (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Castle Builder's Guild

Richard, My comments reside below among your own. (...) I think this may be an effort to organize in a way similar to what other SIGs (Special Interest Groups) in the LUG community have done. For example, I know the Castle Sig spoke about "Castle (...) (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Castle Town Standard?

(...) Well, I guess the cat's out of the bag. This was going to be finalized and offered to the Castle Community when a finalized web page and rules list could be compiled. Lenny and Ben M. are working on this currently (and perhaps myself as well, (...) (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Castle Town Standard?

(...) Your eyes did not deceive you. This is from the first Castle Roundtable discussion: Introduction. We had quite an indepth discussion on what would be necessary to implement standards, including concepts taken from train and space and to apply (...) (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Castle Town Standard?

(...) I assume that was referred to in this post: (URL) "more will be revealed" part. I'd love to hear more about this discussion, if anyone who was involved wants to fill us in. Bruce (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Castle Builder's Guild

. (...) I think there are some (I might have to do a bit of research on this) that have felt the posting requirements (getting authorized to post, etc.) annoying. Some also have posted on LUGNET and have not received the praise for their creations (...) (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Castle Town Standard?

Well I was looking at Jim Fould's wonderful citadel and I spotted this in the background, (URL) Town Standard" With diagrams for what looks like a moonbase for castle fans. Are my eyes decieving me? I believe I see a wall diagram for what I would (...) (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Castle Builder's Guild

(...) Could you amplify on this point, to be honest I'm not sure what you are getting at. Speaking as someone that has been banned on Lugnet before, what could have annoyed people about Lugnet such that they left? I seem to remember one annoying guy (...)
