Re: POV-Ray file problem when rendering

(...) It would be easier to help if you provided the MPD and/or POV file. /Lars (18 years ago, 26-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: POV-Ray file problem when rendering

Sorry for replying to myself, but I'm not sure if what I said made sense. If you do have the error I was talking about, it should look something like the following in LDView (after clicking the plus sign): (URL) In the above case, you would do a (...)   Re: POV-Ray file problem when rendering

(...) What happens if you view the file in LDView 3.0? Does it render properly? Do you get any errors about MPD sub-files already being loaded? (After the file is loaded, go to View->Errors if LDView isn't set to bring that up automatically when it (...) (18 years ago, 26-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

  POV-Ray file problem when rendering

I am working on a moc scene and everything is coming along nicely(that is once I remembered how to render mpd files so that everything shows up), but I have run into a slight problem. See in MLCAD there is the proper number of figs in the scene, (...) (18 years ago, 25-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

Re: Lgeo parts come out different colours?

(...) Yes they should. Lgeo has its own, more accurate colour definitions for many colours. Tim (18 years ago, 23-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.ray)

Lgeo parts come out different colours?

Hello, These are 2 identical scenes; the only difference is that the *lower* shot has "use LGEO parts" ticked. (I'm using L3PAddon) (URL) prompted, password = "lugnet") The colours shouldn't vary, should they? Gabriel (18 years ago, 23-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: I'm sure one of you has already worked this out...

(...) @Willy - that's great! No more pink/transparency issues. :-) @Tim - thanks, that's a good point. Gabriel (18 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.cad.ray)

New animations: AT-STP and Moth Fighter (and StarCraft Marine)

I've posted 2 new "special effect" short clips of new stuff rendered in POV-Ray. The scene files are available for download as well. The Moth fighter jet is something I made and have been using to test explosions. I've finally "finished" it to my (...)   Re: I'm sure one of you has already worked this out...

(...) Thankyou gentlemen. I didn't realise that Antialiasing was an option in Povray. Then - found it was ALSO an option in LSP-Addon. Now that I've turned it off in both, I've got over my issue :-) PS - I'm afraid using "alpha channeling" is a bit (...) (18 years ago, 18-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: I'm sure one of you has already worked this out...

--SNIP-- (...) To add to this, make sure you have a neutral background colour set when you do this. The background colour does still have an effect on certain aspects of the rendering (albeit a small one). Tim (18 years ago, 18-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: I'm sure one of you has already worked this out...

(...) * set +FN in the toolbar command line to get a PNG file * set +UA in the toolbar command line to turn on alpha channeling for a transparent background * read the "5.2.2.3 File Output Options" chapter in povray's help for a deeper insight w.   Re: I'm sure one of you has already worked this out...

(...) It is the antialiasing that is causing this problem. I think there are only two ways around this. Either turn off antialiasing, or switch from chroma-key compositing to transparency-based compositing and make the background transparent. You (...) I'm currently making minifig animations for a freeware computer game. Here's an example picture: (URL) you can see, I am using bright pink (255,0,255) as my transparency colour. (I set it as 'background' in LP3Add-on) The only problem is, when I (...) (18 years ago, 18-Jul-06, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: LPub and Mega-POV Question

  Re: LPub and Mega-POV Question
