  *** MERRY CHRISTMAS ***

Hi MLCad fans, first of all I would like to say thank you for supporting me through the year with suggestions and bug reports. In the next days I will be very busy because of christmas and my child and therefor there is no room left for maintaining (...) (23 years ago, 22-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: Save Picture Options

Michael, Any idea when this will be available? Not to sound ungrateful, but I was just about to come ask for the same thing! As some of you may know, I generate the default images used on brickbay.   Re: Newbie Question

These sound like two different problems. (...) This is 'inlining'. To do this in MLCAD, do this: 1. Open walker.dat in MLCAD. 2. Use Multipart | Import Model... to import leg.dat into walker.dat. 3. Set the Active Model to walker.dat. 4. Use File | (...) (23 years ago, 20-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: Newbie Question

(...) Yeah, I am having trouble posting files myself for something along these same reasons -- how to post files that include submodels. I am trying to look at Steve Lane's Zoid model, and I surmise he is having a similar problem. -- Hop-Frog (23 years ago, 20-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

I'm having trouble following this discussion, could someone explain the steps required to get leg.dat (example filenames) to show up as it's parts in walker.dat? Thanks QBF "Thomas Main" <thomasmain@hotmail.com> wrote in message (...) (23 years ago, 19-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  MLCad Bug(s)

Michael - When you go into the new parts dialog (key shortcut I) and select 'custom part,' the open file dialog doesn't support .LDR. It only allows MPD and DAT, so you have to key in *.ldr manually to view LDR files. Also, I have another problem, a (...) (23 years ago, 19-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: Newbie Question

(...) Yeah, the part I am having trouble with is the "normalizing" of parts.   Re: Newbie Question

Ok, I think I understand. If I understand correctly, you just want to place the sub files into your main file so that they display in the correct place? Try this: Drop down the Active Model list, just above the list of pieces in your model. Remember (...) (23 years ago, 17-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Hi Andy, Hmmm...I can import all three .dat files that way, but I can't seem to combine them. For instance...if I copy the pieces that make up the minifig file and then change the active model to the guardhouse file, I cannot paste those pieces in. (...) Thomas, You can make your main file an MPD and load the extra models into it. On the Main Menu, select "MultiPart", then "Import Model...". That might do what you'd like. Hope that helps.   Newbie Question

I have modeled the 7834 Level crossing in MLCAD. The finished file is called 7834final.dat and contains two "custom parts" 7834fig.dat and guardhouse.dat.
