This sounds like a very good idea. It will also make it easier to
include the Technic Linkage part which comes with the Y-wing. (8 of
them in every Y-wing, don't know just how long they are.)
Here's one more suggestion as to the title:
2637.DAT Technic Axle 16 with End Holes
If we can rename the 2637, we can stick to the previous name suggestions
for the links, right?

3873.DAT Technic Link Tread 0.6 x 2.6

In this case, it seems that a use-specific name such as: "Technic Tie Rod" might be appropriate, since even if one doesn't use this part as a steering linkage, the "specific" term "tie-rod" is actually generic enough (...) (25 years ago, 5-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
