  [ldraw.org] Eve of Beginnings

Tomorrow if all works out well I will be able to begin the creation of the images for ldraw.org and begin coding shortly thereafter. A few things need to be worked out between now and then, and in the near future when the methods for making the (...) (26 years ago, 12-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: [ldraw.org] Shockwave Flash

(...) Correct. I was just inquiring about it - not stating that I was going to make that a priority. (...) You are also correct here. I don't fully realize how it complicates it, and maybe that is in part the reason for my enthusiasm about it. I (...) (26 years ago, 12-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) I apologize for this comment. I realize that it was completely uncalled for and terribly degrading and cheap in nature. Jonathan and all; please forgive me for my unnecessary comment. I will work to have my original post cancelled. Keep (...) (26 years ago, 12-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Is there a Part creating Tutorial?

There are part creation tips in the Ldraw FAQ, but a specific tutorial does not exist. To directly answer your question, a quad takes the form: 4 16 x1 y1 z1 x2 y2 z2 x3 y3 z3 x4 y4 z4 4 is the line type, 16 is the color, and then the 4 points (...) (26 years ago, 12-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) is (...) parts, (...) AFAIK there isn't any right now, but you do bring up a good point. I think that a parts tutorial would be very appropriate for ldraw.org, if someone wants to write one. I will be able to start site design in Photoshop and (...) (26 years ago, 12-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Is there a Part creating Tutorial?

Hi Everybody! This my first Intentional post to this group, and I hope it is in the right place. I was wondering if there was an LDraw Part Creation Tutorial. I made some bitmaps of Starwars decorations, and I'd like to make them into actual parts, (...) (26 years ago, 12-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Dimensions of the parts

(...) I know the function you want; I've used it on InterGraph workstations in my high school job. It knew how to handle stright lines as well as arcs and other elliptical segments, as well as Bezier loops and other exotic stuff. For LDraw purposes, (...)   Re: Dimensions of the parts

(...) These only work for convex pieces. The hollow areas in a concave piece would not be handled properly, since at least one wall would actually move *closer* to the other piece.
