There are part creation tips in the Ldraw FAQ, but a specific tutorial does
not exist. To directly answer your question, a quad takes the form:
4 16 x1 y1 z1 x2 y2 z2 x3 y3 z3 x4 y4 z4
4 is the line type, 16 is the color, and then the 4 points (preferably in
clockwise order) of the quad.
