Re: [3068 with groove] (was:DAT voting page up)

Earls HouseHold wrote in message ... (...) I've always thought it was pretty stupid to reply to your own post. So, call me stupid. Here the list of changed parts I've been able to come with. It is in no way complete or do I say it is correct. Any (...) (26 years ago, 2-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Paul Gyugyi wrote in message <36DB9CF5.6A730D96@g...yi.com>... (...) Now here is a good example of how TLG/LDraw part numbers come in handy. Paul, I'm unsure as to what part is a 1x2 plate with laser prongs. Has it been modeled in LDraw? If not, (...) (26 years ago, 2-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Java LDraw/LDLite

On my PPro150, LDLite has the following benchmarks: syntax example: ldlite_1_6.exe -MC -V3 car.dat Model Time ----- ---- car.dat 3.6 seconds wood4.dat 5.0 seconds (new syntax) bwing.dat 14.2 seconds (-S0.5) m928.dat 23.0 seconds (clipped) m928.dat (...) (26 years ago, 2-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: [3068 with groove] (was:DAT voting page up)

My favorite part change is the 1x2 plate with laser prongs. The height of the prongs in relation to the 1x2 plate has changed, and the two versions do not line up. -gyug (...) (26 years ago, 2-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Modeling without the real element -- bad

Any Saturday Night Live fans out there? "Welcome to the, how do you say? Ah Yes, Anal Retentive Show, and I am your host Antonio Baldaraz." "See senior, you are the anal one, my friend, har ahr" <guitar> 'Is something misaligned in here?" "Oh no! (...) (26 years ago, 2-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: LF vs. CRLF in server .DAT script

Re: CR/LF, what a waste of bandwidth! 1/2 :) Re: \010: Was it really a GPF? LDLite should have hit the characters, recognized them as garbage, and ignored the line, and maybe exit-ed without doing anything. If it was a GPF, I'll try and duplicate (...) (26 years ago, 2-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  castle parts wanted

has anyone made the corner turret top piece? what about the large corner wall with the window? what about the 6090 porticullis holder with the groove? (26 years ago, 2-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Part Numbering Crisis in LDraw

(...) Why's that such a big problem? I mean... it's not like a 20 byte part file, or 10000 of them, will take up a significant amount of space. Especially zipped, when you don't have to worry about cluster sizes. By the time there are so many (...) (26 years ago, 1-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Java LDraw/LDLite

(...) What happens when a part is move, with a moved_to file, and a model is loaded and edited? Does the editor save the _new_ part number, or the old?   Re: Is Ldraw FAQ mistaken...?

(...) Umm, I dunno. Lemme check a second... Without actually running data through the logic, you appear to be correct. The code is comparing the second two points to the line through the first two points. (...) Could be. How tired and hungry are (...) (26 years ago, 1-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Is Ldraw FAQ mistaken...?

(URL) states: Optional-Line command. Draws a line between the first two points, if the projections of both points onto the screen are on the same side of an imaginary line between the projections of the last two points onto the screen. Shouldn't it (...) (26 years ago, 1-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Part Numbering Crisis in LDraw

(...) True, you wouldn't be able to use the related part numbers as parts, but you could search for them (especially once some software uses the KEYWORDS and CATEGORY meta-commands) (...) That would be the problem. Are these real parts, or not? If (...) (26 years ago, 1-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: parts wanted

(...) I probably did a bad job at explaining what is wrong. Looking at the 2853 part with the grey axle pointing towards you, you'll see a round hole in the grey surface next to the axle which sticks out. (This hole is rectangular on some versions (...) (26 years ago, 1-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: parts wanted

(...) I'm not following the problem, here. It may because I don't have one of these pieces to look at, but I'm not seeing what shows through, and if something did show through, how having rounded-end axles would help. I modified your code to use a (...) (26 years ago, 1-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: VOTING now working

Terry, I have a suggestion. I just voted like a senator again :-, abstaining from about half the votes. I don't know what the typical vote turnout is like, but in my method of voting, it would be pretty cool if all the votes default to "Abstain". As (...) (26 years ago, 1-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
