Re: Program to create TLG style instructions from .dat files

(...) That would be nice. It'd be easier than making a separate file of the half-completed part, putting in a series of 0 CLEAR / upside-down view / 0 STEP / 0 CLEAR / right-side up view lines. (...) LDAO supports this, to one level (no (...) (25 years ago, 27-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: "~moved to" files and parts.lst  [DAT]

(...) If part 1234.dat was ~Moved to 5678.dat, when LDAO updates 1 16 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 1234.dat it shouldn't just cut out the 1234 and paste in 5678. It should inline this line (skipping any comment lines, of course). This would have the (...) (25 years ago, 27-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

RE: "~moved to" files and parts.lst

Re: "~moved to" files and parts.lst

(...) It would be very simple to do so. If you sort by filename, the ~Moved to parts are all intermingled with the rest of the parts. When you go to the parts.lst in LEdit, you don't even really need to pay a lot of attention to the descriptions - (...) (25 years ago, 27-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

RE: Shell Extension DLL for lcd and dat files

(...) But this is very useful! Thank you. However, I often get too much information shown, apparently some text left over from the previous part if it had a longer description. E.g. for part 3001.dat: "Brick 2 x 4 with Black Grille Pattern" in stead (...) (25 years ago, 27-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: "~moved to" files and parts.lst

(...) LeoCAD does import/export LDraw files and when you load any file (.lcd or .dat) in it, all pieces that had their numbers changed are updated automatically. There's a list of all moved files in the piece library. Leonardo (25 years ago, 26-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Program to create TLG style instructions from .dat files

(...) I've thought about adding this ability to LDAO's HTML Generator, but I've never done it. I think it would be a really great feature to have. Steve (25 years ago, 26-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Program to create TLG style instructions from .dat files

Hello, I was wondering if there is any program that walks through an ldraw.dat file and generates parts lists for each step of the model? Currently when I find a model on the net I use LDLite to view the model. My LEGO however is not right in front (...) (25 years ago, 26-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: "~moved to" files and parts.lst

I think the real problem is programs that converts its own format to LDraw format, like BlockCAD, LeoCAD(?), and SimLego. (Sorry Leonardo, it was ages since I used your superb program, so I don't even know if it has a built-in LDraw converter). The (...) (25 years ago, 26-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Augh! How to make sure parts-stuff is current?

Hey, y'all: I'm working on adding a feature to LDAO which verifies that parts.lst and the VEC directory are up-to-date.
