  Re: Certifying sub-parts (was: LDraw.org 2004-03)

(...) Thanks Chris! But that reminds me of something I noticed recently. Quite some time ago, I submitted the parts x170, x171, x172 and x173, which together make up x170c01 (URL) the time it was decided they should all be in Parts, as they are all (...) (20 years ago, 15-Sep-04, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LPub mask generation

(...) I'm not entirely sure, but I'm pretty sure you can create a 32bpp BMP file. Normally, 8 bits in each pixel would then be ignored. However, I don't see any reason the data wouldn't be there for you to interpret yourself. --Travis Cobbs (20 years ago, 15-Sep-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  LPub mask generation

I added mask generation for assembly images into LPub. It now can generate a specific mask for each assembly image. I plan on using this for the layout process, where you provide a backdrop image for a page, and LPub uses a mask to superimpose the (...) (20 years ago, 15-Sep-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

LDraw.org 2004-03 Parts Update Now Available

The 2004-03 parts update has been now been released. Whilst nowhere near as large as 2004-02, this has cleared most of the certified backlog on the Parts Tracker. What remains are mainly primitives which are not yet in use by certified parts. This (...) (20 years ago, 15-Sep-04, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.cad) !!

  Re: 47457 2 x 2 x 2/3 Two Top Studs, Curved Slope End

(...) I think I'll just create one part of it all. I don't think a primitive nor a sub-part would be necessary. Thanks. (20 years ago, 14-Sep-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  OK, I'm torn

Today I had a first - -Student brings in a set of BI to show what he wants to make for his first project in my 3D AutoCAD class. -It's a Megabloks kit. :( Cool model, though. :) Darrell (20 years ago, 14-Sep-04, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.edu, FTX)

  Re: 47457 2 x 2 x 2/3 Two Top Studs, Curved Slope End

(...) Are there many parts that will need this surface? It doesn't seem like it would be that common... If it would help you to have a subfile, then create a subpart file rather than a primitive. If I've totally missed the point of your question, (...) (20 years ago, 13-Sep-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Question on part naming

(...) If you look at what group this is (and the group charter), you'll see that my question applies only to the LDraw parts library, and not to any official LEGO naming convention. I'm looking for an official LDraw answer. As it happens, I am an (...) (20 years ago, 13-Sep-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Question on part naming

(...) [snip] (...) Since the dimensions matter with wedges -- a 3x4 wedge is going to be a different shape from a 4x3 wedge -- the order of dimensions in wedge names should be fixed by axis, not given in "smaller x larger" order. For slope bricks, (...) (20 years ago, 13-Sep-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Click-Rotation Parts

(...) Hello, I've made a common primitive for the click rotation socket parts. See (URL) of them share only the inner cogwheel. So I made a quarter of them. See (URL) I need a name (title) and a partname for that. Please make suggestions. So it's (...) (20 years ago, 13-Sep-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Question on part naming

(...) I was just surfing lego.com and came across the new tutorials. In one of the pages, a similar although much simpler question than yours was asked and answered. (URL) almost wanted to port you question for the experts at lego.com to answer. (...) (20 years ago, 13-Sep-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Question on part naming

I noticed some inconsistancy in the naming of some of the wedge parts. Some are named with the smaller number first, and others are named with the numbers placed to match the numbers used on bricks based on the X and Z axes. For example, 41765 is (...)   Re: l3p -check without using l3p

Thanks guys, I believed there had to be some kind of easy fix to the problem (too stupid). Now I feel a lot more comfortable certifying parts! -NB (20 years ago, 12-Sep-04, to lugnet.cad.dev, FTX)

Re: l3p -check without using l3p

(...) Actually LDDP has a built in, full l3p check. You have to turn on the co-planarity checks under Tools->Options->Configuration Values -Orion (20 years ago, 12-Sep-04, to lugnet.cad.dev, FTX)

Re: l3p -check without using l3p

  l3p -check without using l3p

Just a quick question: Is there any programs that can give you a full l3p-check other than l3p? (I not old enough to have done anything but starting games from prompt ;-) ) It seems like LDDP is pretty close to do that but although it’s able to find (...)   Problems with lgeo and trans green

Here’s two problems that have been bothering me almost ever since I started raytracing, but now I simply have to have them fixed to get on with my webpage: First one: When I use L3PAO with the Lgeo library turned on (-lgeo –o) the resulting Pov-ray (...)   Re: My Latest Favorite Brickshelf Folder
