Re: LSC Draft Proposal Version 0.7

(...) could you post the link to it? I think it'd be a good thing to allow people to read it. Dan (21 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Problem with account

(...) The parts tracker is still offline, as all the data before the crash hasn't been restore to it, and there are some more configuration changes to be made. We are working to get it back up. Dan (21 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Problem with account

Hi all, nice to see Ldraw online again. But I noticed that you need an account to use the tracker. This wouldn't be a problem if I could use my account. I tried to login with my username and password but nothing happens. I mailed Steve but getting (...) (21 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Significance of stud orientation

(...) Perhaps when authors go back to BFC old parts, they should also correct the stud orientations. I've made a conscious effort to do new parts with correct stud orientations, but as you say later, it may not be worth the effort. (...) 3822s01 is (...) (21 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Status for the LDraw.org server

(...) Now Munin is finally back on-line (since Thursday) and with a correctly configured Apache (since this morning). Right now some people will end up at Peeron and some people on Munin, when they go to the web site <www.ldraw.org>. This will (...) (21 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Significance of stud orientation

(...) Sounds sensible. (...) I would certainly appreciate it. But I don't think parts will be rejected from inclusion in the official parts library just because the studs aren't oriented correctly. I have a vague recollection of having noticed that (...) (21 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.cad)

(...) ... (...) GRRRR! Actually, I'll happily take that criticism =8D ... Here come the excu ... cough! ... explanations: wordiness and redundancy are, at least in part, a side effect of reaching out to all audiences: beginners, regular users and (...) (21 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: new user installation summary

(...) LPub isn't finding POV-Ray. I'm working on the assumption that it's looking specifically for 3.1 and I have 3.5 installed. I'm going to install 3.1 in the coming days. LSynth isn't finding its own install directory. This may have something to (...) (21 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: megapov install trouble

(...) Thanks, Ahui. I think installing 3.1 may solve my MEGAPov and LPub trouble. I'll give that a try. And if all else fails I'll start my entire system from scratch (it exists to do ldraw stuff, so that's not a problem), eliminating the (...) (21 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Translating MLCad

Hi there. Is there a bug in language template DLL? In dialog "Spring generator" (ID_SPRING) or something like that there are labels Bottom (B) and Top (T) switched. When you run MLCad and change "bottom" number, sample spring in preview window (...) (21 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: MLCAD Drag and Drop Stacking

(...) Hi Matt, There is no automatic stacking mechanism. There is nothing to prevent two parts that can't overlap in the real world from overlapping the LDraw world. You have to place the bricks *exactly* where you want them. Kevin (21 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: new user installation summary

(...) Hi Amy, I'm Kevin Clague, one of the authors of the Power Tools books, and the author of LPub and LSynth. I'm sorry that things didn't work for you right out of the shoot. Folks tell me that installing the whole package off the power tools CD (...) (21 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Significance of stud orientation

Hey, I have a question about the significance of stud orientation. Many parts created before stud logos were introduced (and some parts even created afterwards) have different orientation compared to the real part. (I know back then the orientation (...) (21 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: megapov install trouble

Hi Amy, I'm the LDraw Help Desk Coordinator, If you want an "all-in-one" installer I recommend you read and download this file: (URL) on the installer link and note that this page is a mirror ldraw page) MEGAPov does not play nice with POV-Ray 3.5 (...) (21 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Crazy, OK Heretical Idea ...

Re: New parts and question about metal parts

(...) Hi Niels. These two parts are in the Parts Tracker: they made it in shortly before LDraw.org went down for maintenence. I used the fire logo subfile (used with the hose holder) with the door 1 x 3 x 1 subfile. I forget who made these parts (...) (21 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.cad)
